  1. Rubbish performance. Wolves were good but not that good, it's a shame that we defended with 8 men in our own box for so much of the game and showed no intention of taking the game to them. Got what we deserved. Well played Hutton.
  2. Or maybe he will finally realise that he is actually left footed ... could explain a lot!
  3. I'm not really dismissing our defence, but those comments were a counterbalance to you implying that they were the best in the division. I still think toothless is a fair summary of the opposition, Burton have scored 6, Bolton 4, Boro had 10 men. We didn't concede against Brentford but the defence was shambolic, and wasn't our keeper motm in several games? Anyway, I hope I'm wrong, and I'm looking forward to seeing us playing some better quality opposition.
  4. The defence with a RB that doesn't tackle, CB's with no pace and no proper LB, protected by a slow, small DM. Don't let recent results against toothless opposition lull you into a false sense of security.
  5. I think we will need to outscore Wolves, I don't think our defence will be good enough to contain them, so we must go positive.
  6. I don't particularly agree with that, but my point was that they aren't top just because we were poor against them.
  7. I still wouldn't fancy us against Cardiff if their front three play as well as they did in the away game. I said at the time that they looked very good, but most people chose to interpret that game as just 'Hutton is rubbish' (even when it was Chester getting turned inside out).
  8. Thought he was very good first half. He spent too much of his early days here being invisible in between free kicks, but he is starting to look the part now.
  9. I don't think he has made a single tackle in those three games, and he doesn't do much to stop crosses coming in, just occasionally dangles a leg at it. We can get away with it against the likes of Burton, but not sure I would want him there against the better teams. But to be fair, he hasn't done much wrong, as you say, and he has put in a couple of good crosses, so fair play to him.
  10. Poor team performance against a toothless Forest side. Glad of the three points, but must improve.
  11. What has happened to him, he was very solid last season but has been very poor so far this, and it isn't like we have much backup.
  12. He did ok today, I'm not really a fan of him as a defender, and he was incredibly lazy at tracking back after he had gone forward, but he wasn't tested too much defensively and should benefit from linking up with Snodgrass again.
  13. I'm not really sure what was seen in him to make us want to buy him. OK, he is young so should improve, but he doesn't seem to have any particular strengths to his game.
  14. Another example of playing defensively and yet looking completely shambolic in defence. The passage of play where there were 4 or 5 Brentford players lined up on the edge of our box for about a minute trying to take potshots should have been the moment when Bruce admitted to himself that he has nothing to offer us as a manager.
  15. I thought he played like he was pissed up, an absolute embarrassment. Apart from another woeful personal display, it's obvious that he isn't bringing any organisation or cohesion to the defence. Selling Baker to play Terry was a disgrace.
  16. Don't play him at right back. Ever.
  17. He's been very disappointing so far, and the lack of pace at the centre of our defence with him, Terry and Chester (not to mention Samba) is a worry. Jedinak is slow but harder to get round. If Jedi isn't fit I would agree to go with Lansbury.
  18. He has never been a good crosser, Adomah should be ahead of him any day.
  19. He would be pretty far down my list of players that I would like to see playing left mid - shame we didn't bring someone in really.
  20. Whatever non-tangible qualities he was supposed to bring to the team don't seem to be much in evidence yet. Looks like any other 36 year old clogger.

    Keinan Davis

He couldn't get into it for the first half hour but was very good after that. For a youngster he is very good at drawing defenders to open up space for the pass. I'm sure Hogan would love to play off him.
