  1. Looks like Lionel Messi’s dad. I know Messi is big time but come on…sending your team mate in an emergency…
  2. Wonder how much the future ‘Saudi Tourist Board’ or Saudia Airlines will pay for their 5 year ‘strategic’ deal that will encompass stadium development and everything. Just cannot see in this day and age it working.
  3. Good luck to them proving legally-binding links between owners and the Saudi owners for each deal. This clearly won’t work. Must have been awkward for City though - funny that they abstained. Guess we can rule out a £300m sponsorship from Adidas then.
  4. I had a feeling this wasn’t going to end well when Mings got that infuriating yellow messing about with the free kick. We looked absolutely shattered from going 1 up. Only ourselves to blame today. Wolves we’re rubbish. There’s goals and a good run in this team but it needs to happen soon. Not a time for throwing toys about. Sure it’ll be a long training session on Monday for Ramsey, Axel and Mings…
  5. There’s a Twitter video/podcast showing the journo who reported this being called out on this announcement. He’s clearly a bit of a muppet. Who knows it could be right and he’s let it slip like an idiot or he just loosely threw in the word ‘ruptured’ not caring what it actually meant.
  6. Very proud of that. Young uns looked more than comfortable at this level Hause and Axel - Superb. Proved again we have great depth at CB. Great cameo by Sanson Work rate shown across the team was superb. Penalties are a lottery. Steer could have done better for a few but he’s proven himself as competent backup for Emi.
  7. He’s not saying things about Villa though is he. He’s being asked thousands of questions by all sorts of kinds of media folk and they are rehashing quotes totally out of context to create clickbait. One of the things we all generally liked about him was his wide-eyed honest answers to questions rather than the predictable f****** boring generic media responses the more articulate players give. Move on I say. He’s not a villain, he’s not a saint, he’s just a bloke.
  8. Doesn’t explain how Richardilson was able to return for Everton though and not DL
  9. Yeah It’s annoying. I was just expecting a big Twitter lash-out but there doesn’t seem to be actually. Maybe people are generally wising up to these clickbait tactics now.
  10. Fascinating watch. shows how bloody lucky we are now. a few clubs like West Brom must be questioning if they are stuck holding the baby having clearly been taken down a similar path to this.
  11. If I’d just spent £100m on a player I would too tbf. like it or not his profile exploded over this summer with neutral fans esp kids and women. He’s a marketers dream at this specific moment in time until the next thing comes along.
  12. Yeees. Get in Leicester. So glad the smarmy ‘Grealish will win his first trophy with Man City within a week’ crap didn’t come off.
  13. City fans on their forums seem worried about him being booed. It’s quite funny reading them tutting art Leicester for making some noise and creating an atmosphere. My favourite is “you can tell it’ll be their only trip to Wembley”. Cringe.
  14. To some degree I worry it’s just a fact of life with football. Right now Norwich and Saints fans see us as arrogant player poachers. Even worse that in their eyes we don’t even represent a major step up like an ‘elite’ team.
  15. I was trying to explain my stance on city to a ‘football fan’ (one of those..no particular team they follow - I don’t get it) who has a soft spot for city. I appreciate that a small proportion of their current fan base are proper fans. I appreciate the work they are trying to do around the area, and do applaud that they have at least spent what they have spent relatively well (considering the whole package). however…I just don’t respect their achievements. Each and every medal they win feels completely hollow. It’s like someone adding £1Bn to a team on FM and parading around the front room when they beat Brighton 6-0. Who cares!? When they win something my brain basically wipes it - it’s like that competition didn’t happen. If it were up to me the record books for them would show asterisks next to every mention. I question why I don’t feel the exact same way about Chelsea…perhaps it’s because it was novelty first time around (the overnight success unlike United which at least was earned through success)….but I think City just confirmed ‘yep this is a thing now…’. I can’t wait for Abu Dhabi to get bored and pack up.
  16. They look a bit naff truthfully speaking but it’s fitness at the end of the day. we must have had the worst buildup with - Emi/Emi/Dougie playing in Copa America - Dougie still away with Brazil - Grealish/Mings extended leave after England - all the chaos and distraction of the Jack move - New players with varying levels of ability to train - Two decent level friendlies cancelled Annoyingly it looks like Watford’s has gone swimming.
  17. United also spend best part of £80m on Sancho too. I imagine Jack would have pushed for that move too if there were no other options.
  18. Until the next transfer window…or the one after that…or the one after that…
  19. Just noticed that on ings’s Instagram, Marty Cash commented 4 weeks ago something and Marvellous liked his pic. McGinn has also likes previous photos. Wonder if the players were aware of this that long ago? even if not, it’s surprising to me that they were in the same social circle.
