    Our performances in Europe have been mostly very lethargic and today is no different. Not sure why that is but that’s why I don’t think we’ll win this competition. The best team doesn’t always win the cups . Hopefully we can find our way through as the game goes on.

    All 3 have small fanbases and once the novelty factor of the prem wears off teams like that see a big drop off with away support . More money for Villa because they are charging a lot more than 30 quid.

    @drat01 keep going mate ive only recently found out that an old school mate is terminal. He had prostrate cancer but caught it too late and it’s now spread to his bones. They gave him 12 months which was last May but he’s doing ok at moment but taking it a day at a time . I’ve recently had a letter from doctors saying I’m available to have a full health check now I’ve hit 40 which I intend to do.

    If we get sell outs v Chelsea and Liverpool which is pretty much certain our average attendance will go above 42k. We’ve not managed that being back in the premier league again. Heck is talking bullshit .

    The best way to do it is prioritise Lille on Thursday and then prioritise Bournemouth on Sunday. One game at a time. Yesterday proved we can still beat the best even with injuries and tired players.

    Same here. I looked back to earlier in the thread the other week and plenty thought he wasn’t good enough. Glad we stuck with him and he’s just getting better and better.

    Worked hard . Made life difficult for Arsenal with his presence . Very pleased for him and if he is homesick then that may explain his whole demeanour, also add to that the betting scandal. He’s showed a bit more lately, but I think he will return home. I wish him luck whatever happens. He’s an old school type of player and at the right team in the right league will offer a lot . It’s not been all bad at Villa just inconsistent.
