  1. To be fair, Carew was huuuge talent growing up. He had the biggest transfer fee for a scandinavian player until it was beaten by ibrahimovic. Some would argue that his decline started when he got here. But he has proven himself countless times at clubs, but he never neared the potential people thought he would after some time.
  2. Anichebe is a beast but he is certainly not lethal in front of the goal. If anything, he is more of a "super-sub" if you can call it that. His approach was wrong, he did the exact same thing against him later in the match which resulted in another shot, though that time it did not go in. Pretty disappointing really, such things should not happen
  3. Would not suprise me, but I don`t think we will see any more significant leaps in that department after a while. But premier league is the most prestigious and most watched football league in the world, so money and advertising just goes hand in hand. Again, I fail to see how appointing someone like sissoko would be wrong. If you go into an ownership without money to sustain the kind of pressure you could be faced with then you need to get out. The more and more I read about this whole thing it really just seems like he is trying to get the wages down so he can sell in the summer. As others have pointed out, it would explain a whole lot. I guess Randy sees the whole from his own perspective and feels that this gamble is worth it. If I invest more it could end up being lost cash as we might be relegated either way. That whole thought process points to that at least, I fail to see how someone truly believes you can stay up with kids at 15k wages right now. How you can dramatically change like that without repercussions. All in all, I think we can agree that he certainly does not care what we feel or anything specifically about this club. Maybe he did think he could make money on this, or get his name out there. Random speculations perhaps, but when you go into hibernation like he does, you have too make assumptions. Again, his fault. If he wants to continue and he has concluded that he can only afford to pay championship wages and transfers, then that is the worst scenario. That means that nothing special will happen in the next window and so on. Either way, he is much to blame for the whole situation. No matter what is behind the scenes, management and players.
  4. Well..there has to be some reason? He is making money on other things than Aston Villa so you would expect that he would be willing to invest something. Honestly, I get the feeling he just watches matches in the states and take it from there. No real involvement on the day to day basis really. You would think he would do something at least. I cannot see how this is all Lerner being stubborn and not changing on his policy even if it means relegation. I don`t really know, there is always more to it then you think but this whole approach of keeping the wages like a championship club seems to harsh. How is that possible, to make such a drastic shift over so little time.
  5. I will get more optimistic when we secure our first 3 pointer. That better be against west ham or I don`t know what to think. Sometimes when I look at our team and how we play I think this is not a team that should be relegated. Then 5 minutes later it is the complete opposite.
  6. This. I am sorry but that is the way it is. If we can`t afford to have players like that than he needs to **** off. Go manage doncaster rovers or something like that if you find that more suiting. And you would think specially now that he has gotten a lot of money he would do something different. I hate you. The more and more I think about it, the less I kinda hate Lambert. He sure does some things that enrages me but looking at what he got then you get a bigger picture. We basically have no good players on the bench either so the subs automatically sucks all the freaking time. But yes, he has made some tactical decisions that really makes me question him but some of the players we have is embarrassing.
  7. We still should hold out for big money and not take the first offer we get(even though that is highly unlikely you never know). I would argue that Lukaku holds just as much potential that he does, and he is 19. Shame really, would be fantastic if he would be a player that would stay for a couple of years. But who can blame he, if I was in his shoes I would probably leave though considering some of the players that are on the team. But he still has some flaws and for that I don`t think he should take a big leap just yet, as that may hurt his chances more. I am not so sure he would be that successful at Arsenal if he went there. We would be so much higher on the table if we had more signings like him. Imagine if we got players like m`vila, sissoko, capoue, holtby, douglas and so on.
  8. Just checked, we signed him for 4 years on the 31 august

How fun it is when we actually have to fear carroll up the villa
  10. No don`t get me wrong in an ideal world I would ship all of the four out, last one being vlaar. I am not a big fan of anyone we have in our back four. But I do think that lowton has had some moments this season, but yes, he should only be a sub for now. Shame how this all has turned out really, bennett for example is nowhere ready for any premier league team at all.
  11. I have a question! Or, two actually. If we were to be relegated, what do you think we would bring in the summer window? By then, the biggest earners will be out and we will probably get to sell bent and ireland if we are lucky. And the same question except we stay in the league. Would he invest heavily then you reckon? This question bothers me a lot, because if we are going with this strategy it will take a long frickin time to get anywhere considering benteke and few others might leave either way. This club might be in total shit then if we were to go down and lose our key players. Buying some shit from league 1-2 won`t save us then. I don`t want anything crazy or nothing like that but I would like to be able to get some pretty decent players, not in the league that man city is in but better than this at least. There are so many questions to be asked about what are goal and plan for the future is, and that is the exact problem. What the hell is our future? Just get a manager and have shit wages just to barely stay up in PL? What kind of a goal is that...
  12. Yeah if we were to have any chance on keeping him we have to stay up. And freaking get some good players in the squad, no random gambling in the upcoming summer.Buy some proper quality. Imagine it, if we shift out the defense and get some midfielders we could really have good team here imo. Would be absolutely gutted if he ends up in Arsenal in the next window. And you just know the next one will be shit. We have him until 2015 right?
  13. Either way, we have to with him now. Blame lerner, its his fault
  14. I really like this player even if he can make some dumb decisions at time. A vital player to the team we currently have.
  15. I still stand by on the fact that he is the best defender we currently got, but the third goal today pissed me off to much. That line is getting more and more depressing by the minute.
  16. Such a shame really. Fantastic player and he has had some fantastic goals this season. Would not suprise me if spurs get him or something like that. Would be nice if he went to Serie A(or whatever) and not to another premier league team.

Yeah, I have thought many more matches before this would be "the one" but this has to be it. If we don`t get 3 points here I think we are probably done for. If the other shit teams keep it up there is no way. But I still won`t give up, I almost had and I go back and forth on this but to actually face relegation is...unbearable. I think we showed enough today that there is a chance but we still need those points, anything else doesn`t matter really.
  19. Think he looked pretty decent, but there was just to little time. Only thing I can say is that he did not look like a flop or someone terrible at least, so there`s that.
  20. Has some good moments, but those bad moments happen far too often. Pathetic against anichebe today as I expected.
  21. Yeah, I thought he did good today. I didn`t pay that much attention to him but it seemed like he did a good match.
  22. Wow, at first I thought you were overreacting but no, I fully agree with you. That is pathetic and that mentality like that is what should set football players apart from pub teams. Honestly, that is not good at all, and why the hell would you post a thing like that anyway. Disgrace. I do still have a hope, we proved today that we certainly can stay up if keep on fighting. But we need that 3 pointer so bad, so very bad. Reading and Wigan picking up points is no good, and they have been doing it a lot lately. West ham is no excuse though, if we can`t get 3 points there than there isn`t much to go on anymore. One of the most important matches this season
  23. I am more pissed off as to why vlaar should take care off fellaini. Anyway, there was some genuine good moments today, but that goal at the end really left a feeling inside me that is hard to explain. Just rage, sadness...everything. Happens all the freaking time, we never get a break on this. So frustrating. On a positive note if we can keep up some of the momentum we had today then I genuinely believe we can stay up. We would crush norwich, reading, qpr, west ham if we played like that. Of course, the last 30 minutes was embarrasing, we just lost the game completely. Is this really happening? Worst thing is how every other shit team is shaping up and grabbing points. Does not look good at all, we need to win 1-2 games this february or else this has no chance. Sylla looked pretty decent I would say. Didn`t get to see much but hoping he might get a shot next match from the start. Seems like a good signing. "We go again" ?
