  1. It is a hell of a lot more than other youth teams have produced in that time tbf.
  2. its about time someone noticed it. What's the alternative? 5 great games = 6-15 points. Difference between saying up or going down. Get someone in for a third of his wages that could do that. Players who can do it once every other month are 10 a penny.
  3. He is a phenomenal footballer, who would improve any first XI in the world.
  4. We took Phillips from them too Not that year, from Southampton IIRC.
  5. The summer after we nearly got relegated with GT. We signed Sorenson and McCann, two of the most depressing signings from one of the most pathetic relegated teams in history, Sunderland. It was looking bleak as ****. We finished 6th.
  6. I don't. He has been stealing a living for the past 10 years at least.
  7. Damaged goods and I doubt physically and more importantly, mentally strong enough to play in the PL. Just like Dos Santos and Vela off the top of my head. Not that he would ever come here though.
  8. What position does he play. Are people just judging him on the back of World Cup performances as I have never seen him play. Either way, he is young, inexperienced and has never played in anything close to a decent league. Maybe as an understudy but we need quality now, not more young hungry, supposed 'prospects'
  9. Portugal have a real dearth of talent coming through at the moment. Wouldn't be a difficult choice for me
  10. A club, like, can't just die man. It is not a living, breathing entity. it exists in our hearts, our minds and our memories man. It is the representation of all our hopes and dreams. You cannot kill that, you can never taken that away man.
  11. Also, there players weren't put on ridiculous contracts so profits are maximised. I wonder how much net profit we made on the likes of Yound, Downing and Milner after their "O'Neill wages" over the course of their stay were taken into account.
  12. http://www.eveningecho.ie/2014/07/01/arsenal-set-make-offer-lenihan/ not really much of a link but I imagine that one of lazy English media will run with it soon and link him Ay, I can just imagine Keane skipping out of there telling all and sundry what a player that boy is. *not.
  13. I don't play FM anymore so I have no idea who you guys are talking about sadly
  14. If by "the start" you mean three games, then yes. I was going to say 90 minutes to be honest.
  15. Rose tinted glasses. He was rubbish, how old is he now, 25/26, he has barely played 50 games. Will be lucky to carve out a career in league 1 after his contract expires.

No idea, but all I hear from up there is the sound of scratters and scummers. I daren't look behind me out of fear and possible repulsion.
  17. Why do people think he has a workrate? It is because of his performances at this world cup, because he has sleep walked his way through the SPL the last few years, occasionally putting in a shift away in a CL game. It is similar for Bryan Ruiz of Costa Rica, I never saw him once work as hard as he has done in every game this tournament. Nice to know they can put it in for their country, but not the teams that pay their wages.
  18. Can't really blame him for wanting to leave. Not treated the best by lambert. Especially with Benteke injured I thought we would've wanted to have kept a proven premiership goal scorer in the squad Yeah he treated him really badly when he made him captain. Fact is Bent didn't perform for two years for us and was on huge money we could ill afford in wages so Lambert shifted him on and he did the square root of naff all at Fulham last season. Yes he is a proven goal scorer in the PL but he has done very little for 3 years and so there would seem to be very little point paying him huge wages to do the same for another year. He played no worse than anyone else it's easy to cherry pick from the past to prove an argument but Bent's form never went of the rails completely, it's not as if Weimann has been anymore consistent, there is no excuse ever for losing your place in a squad to jordan Bowery Cherry pick? What on earth are you on about, the last three seasons is hardly cherry picking. Bent's form... Take a look at his form last season and try and say it didn't go off completely and find someone to agree with you. And Weimann isn't on the huge wages Bent is on plus he works for the team. Two big big differences. And no Bent shouldn't find himself behind Bowery but neither should he find himself behind teenagers making debuts but that's exactly what happened last season. Weimann works for the team? Which team is that then? Weimann may not be the most talented player but he puts a shift in every time he plays for us. Never stops running something which cannot be said about Darren Bent. He used to.
  19. You off to Miami then? Enjoy your holiday mate.
  20. Samaras A guy who was moved out wide as he couldn't score goals even in the SPL, his record for Greece is crap and his record at Man City was crap. In no way does he have any attributes to play wide, he was simply a striker who couldn't score goals. Heart the size of a pea, control of a rapist, and makes Carew look like a grafter.
  21. "Going into the final year of my deal, shit, better pull my finger out!"
  22. I would settle for letting Bent go on a free providing we don't have to pay up the final year of his deal. Any fee would be a bonus, but I cannot see any truth in this. I would be very surprised if any club would offer us cash for him after the 3 years he has had.
