  1. Riise trying to get Heskey sent off. Where are Bellamy and Carew when you need them?
  2. Gabby demonstrating at the end of the half what an exceptionally small brain he has.
  3. Disappointed Makoun isn't starting. Our midfield looks more slick and fluid with him in there. I fear we'll be seeing a pedestrian midfield again, passing sideways and backwards.
  4. Strangely Chinese may become useful in Africa in years to come. We've got a friend from Rwanda staying at the moment. China is into Africa long term. There's thousands of Chinese there now, building new roads and transport infrastructure, millions more may follow. I'm not long back from Africa and can confirm this is true. The Chinese are currently in the process of slipping the continent the Rohypnol before they rape the **** out of it for decades to come.
  5. Jesus, that was too close
  6. Heh heh, McCleish was furious at that. I take that as a good sign.
  7. Great stuff from Makoun and Bent there
  8. Can you get yours full screen? I can't and I looked in their FAQs and there is no mention of being able to do it
  9. What would be significantly more considerate, significantly more appropriate and significantly less **** retarded is if people posted things that are anything other than vague, tangential references to the plot in the **** Breaking Bad thread. You know? The one here, in Off Topic, called Breaking Bad, the one that isn't meant as a heads up for good programmes, the one for discussing the programme? Oh, you know, Frédéric **** Chopin?! "Anyone watching a good TV show?" "Yeah, me. Watch this because this is what happens. Actually, don't bother. I'll just give a weekly running commentary of the highlights and let you know when they've jumped the shark so you'll know not to bother reading my spoilers anymore". Just as well I'd seen the episodes before the spoilers, I'd be really pissed if I hadn't.
  10. Two bottles of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc now onto the Gin Martini. 4/5:1ish Plymouth Gin to Noilly Prat. Yeah, bitches! Think I'll watch me some Game Of Thrones while I'm still conscious.
  11. I agree, Sid and Alex Cropley were the two best midfielders I've ever seen in the flesh. Unfortunately, despite his legendary status, I've yet to see him pass his gifts on to another Villa midfielder. When I see one spraying 40 yard passes around, with virtually no backlift, landing on a sixpence at the feet of a team-mate I'll get another shirt with "Cowans" on the back. Maybe young Gardner is the Karate Kid to his Mr Miyagi?
  12. If you have a striking problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team. Helping strikers overcome their goal droughts for years.
  13. Yeah, I did! However, unlike Mike's it was a semi-controlled oblivion! I even tidied up a bit before I fell asleep. That messy word removed apparently scattered things all over the room as he hit the floor! That's more the kind of thing he'd want to hear than the maudlin stuff I posted yesterday! I look forward to the day we both meet up again in Hell. We long ago agreed that there was where we were both destined because of some of the things we laughed at. I've found a couple of the photos I was looking for and when I've dug out the rest I'll post 'em up in final tribute.
  14. I'm late to this as I've been away for a month - thanks Rob for letting me know. Absolutely **** gutted, one of my oldest and closest friends is gone. I've spent the afternoon and evening reading tributes to him on various fora, sometimes struggling to read through the tears in my eyes, sometimes laughing out loud, sometimes both at the same time. I took that photo of him in the link, above, at Singapore Zoo about five years ago. He loved Singapore. Thanks, Mike. I never thought I would get one of my photos published Your sacrifice for my art is much appreciated. I'm also going to investigate the possibility of a copy write claim against the Mail for using it - might as well try to earn a few quid from your demise, I know it's what you'd want! When I find them I'll post another few shots of the big man enjoying his travels. I'll also be back when I'm pissed to post the kind of entry he would actually appreciate rather than merely empathise with. I knew him long enough and well enough to know what he would want is twisted and sardonic, so I'll be back later to give him what he deserves for being word removed enough to die on me. Unless I pass out pissed before I do so. Goodbye, big man. I'll miss you (no homo!).
  15. I for one welcome our new ginger overlord.
  16. I like the theory but the one part I would question is the use of a private jet for people sorting out a property project. That's a pretty expensive way of ferrying people around, isn't it? I would be inclined to think such people would be using scheduled flights. That said, I don't have his money, don't have a jet, don't know the exact costs involved and don't know how he thinks.
  17. I'd like to know the answer to that myself, he was a good source. That said, I seem to remember him getting similar brickbats to those that went MM's way. Maybe he also got tired of some of the moronic posts he had to read in response to his own.
  18. The fact that he has resigned - The fact that people think he will pitch up at VP -
  19. I've replanted and spaced some cabbages and courgettes. Can anyone confirm this or is this bullshit? Total manure I certainly won't believe it until some ITK tweets it.
