He was 1 in 4 for Sunderland. That's still pretty bad for a striker. If anything, Borini is their Weimann. A player that isn't good enough and they're trying to get rid of.

His athleticism is pretty impressive, they probably thought they could improve his technical skills to a decent enough level but IMO he doesn't have the ability.

If Liverpool are prepared to pay 25 now, they'll probably stump up the 32.5 later on. I don't want him to go there but there's nothing any of us can do about it.

We're not sorted at RB. Richards has come in to play CB by all accounts and Bacuna's not up to much defensively.

Begovic is a good keeper, a bit better than Guzan but I dunno if this move is worth it as there are more pressing matters right now.

In terms of shorter term solutions, would Podolski be worth a punt? Not sure he'd come to us though.

It's all relative. If people doing the same thing as you are making more, you'll think you deserve more - it's only natural.

Do they? How much do shirt sales account for in terms of our income? I can't believe that it's really that much at all - if 50,000 fans bought shirts, you're looking at what.. 2.5mil? And even then, how much will the club see from that after tax, logistics and all the other stuff? In any case, it'll pale in significance next to the TV money.

I remember when Middlesbrough beat Man City 8-1. The keeper that day (Isaksson) conceded 8 goals but none of them were actually his fault. Football is incredibly contextual, which has always made the use of statistics less than reliable.

There are 8 keepers in the Prem with higher percentages in that area yet we finished 17th last season - I'd say he's definitely good enough for us.

Yeah I would believe it - we've not really any idea who Sherwood wants to bin off or keep, so people sounding us out about our better players is no shock at all.

Looking at the size of the squad, I think we need to get more out before we get people in. We've got a lot of players and quite a few of them are garbage.

You rate Dembele and Townsend as being worth 20mil? Really? Are you Levy?! Both Dembele and Townsend have to be worth £10m each in this day and age I would have thought? Not saying I would accept it, but the valuation can't be far off? I think they're worth closer to 10 combined. Both haven't shown much in quite a while now.

He's definitely worth persevering with IMO - he's clearly got a lot of good defensive qualities.

He's a good player it'll be a shame to see him go because I can think he has a lot to offer. Defensively, anyway.
