I think signing Cambiasso would be great for him. Learning from Cole and Cambiasso could do wonders for his development.

Westwood, obviously. Does the same job but to a much, much higher standard. Cambiasso doesn't have the legs he used to, obviously, but Westwood isn't particularly athletic either - probably a little faster than Cambiasso, but the latter's ability to read the game, win the ball, pass etc. is far better.

Then I think you should if you can't spot the naivety. We've signed a dud. Deal with it. Pretending the price paid is lower than the actual price paid isn't going to alleviate your disappointment either. Are you for real? Writing off a player as a dud before he's even kicked a ball for us. That's ridiculous.

RE: Cambiasso and Gestede, I'd definitely look to get the former on a free. I think Cambiasso would be a great calming influence (similar to Barry and Petrov) in the middle, has tons of experience and would still be good for a season. Gestede could be interesting but I'm suspect of him as he doesn't done it in a top league anywhere and the defending in the Championship is significantly worse than it is in the premier league.

Jordan Ayew's goalscoring record, in terms of goals to 90 minutes played - puts him at 1 in 2.3, an assist at 1 in 4.3 and a goal or an assist every 1.5 games. Compared to Rolan last season: 2.5 games per goal, 5.3 per assist, or 1.7 per goal or assist. So statistically, Ayew had a better season.

People are allowed to have a opinion just because it doesn't match your own it doesn't make it "childish' My opinion is that their opinion is childish and as you said yourself, I'm entitled to it. The hashtag mentioned above is childish at best.

Yeah, I said in the Praet thread that I was hoping we'd be moving towards a more skillful, flair based game - something I don't think we've ever had at the club.

That'd be cool for options - if we had say, Adebayor or Kozak as the target man, then dependent on who we play, Gil and Grealish or Sinclair and Rolan, or a combination of any of them, I think that'd be pretty good.

Looks to be fast, technical, tenacious and fairly direct. On the small side but I think he wouldn't play as a striker for us, more where Grealish/N'Mongbia have been playing.

Very, very encouraging stuff. The movement especially - it's so weird watching a full back wearing a Villa shirt actually do what they're supposed to. Awesome.

I think we need someone like him. I really want us to shift to a more technical style of play, with him, Grealish and Gil being able to pass round and through teams. We've never really had that at Villa.
