  1. Not sure why this debate keeps re-occurring - however, my answer is of course "Hero" (and the best looking player at Villa for a long time)
  2. Much the same on the whole - still at same job, still in same house, however, five years ago, my house was a terrible tip, now it's all done up and nice (well I like it), five years ago though I went on regular holidays abroad, now haven't left England's shores for five years (except to Isle of Man) . However, I owe a far bigger mortgage now (owing to doing the house up) and I am still waiting for someone to love - and getting too old to wait much longer I guess! So, all in all, much the same for me. I guess I'm a little less healthy than five years ago too - probably due to getting older! However, when I read of some of things that people have been through, I am grateful for what I have .
  3. Please Please Wolves to win this. 9 points between them and Blooz - please.
  4. Cause Im nosey. Yeah but so am I
  5. I'm one of the straight women on here. What I want to know though is why is there a Gay Male and Gay Female option but straight is just straight and not split into male and female? (I think gay men are great though and the ones I've met are usually really really nice blokes )
  6. All the best to your father General. Like it says above, things have to be put into perspective.
  7. You need to contact Nicky Keye or Nav at the Ticket Office - I had the same problem this season too - as did some other people I know of. Nickyand Nav certainly sorted my problem out although it took to the Chelsea game to sort it.
  8. I'll be there too - lot of games lately but then another stupid international break!!!
  9. Strangely enough, I've just been searching You Tube (without success) - I'm trying to find a clip from The Mary Whitehouse Experience (or Punt & Dennis) of the Dancing Dad - where Hugh Dennis says "this has a good beat" and starts to dance in a stupid way. Can't find one anywhere - any ideas?
  10. Not wishing to answer for the General but I believe that Lorna McClelland can speak at least three languages fluently and also teaches the foreign players English - so I guess it would possibly only be necessary to get in translators for any players whose native language is not spoken by Lorna
  11. Having said Michael Palin - I also loved his ripping yarns, but I also liked Eric Idle's Rutland Weekend Television - which spawned The Rutles - anyone remember that too?
  12. None ( well only nicotene I guess). I used to smoke - started as a teenager at the top of the school field (as you did then!) but gave it up nearly 17 years ago. Never knowingly taken anything but I suspect I may have taken a drink with something in at a party once!
  13. Wasn't there once one by Coleman at the Olympics one time when he said about some runner that he "opened his legs and showed his class"
  14. General, I know many people have already said this but I just wanted to give a (another!) "big up" to Nicky Keye who has been very helpful , friendly and cheerful in helping me solve a problem I had. Good helpful people who are also cheery and friendly are a big asset to Villa. Hev
  15. At first when I had just given his insurance details, the insurers were asking me to pursue PI claims etc, as soon as it became apparent he wasn't insured, they said they couldn't help me on that any more (I wasn't injured anyway and wasn't bothered about that - just wanted to recoup my lost no-claims). I told the Police too - they are prosecuting him for driving without insurance failing to respond to a seven day notice or something like that but, again, that's for them, nothing to do with my losses apparently. Yes I have been stung big time for something that wasn't my fault. He definitely isn't insured - my insurers confirmed that to me when they said they were passing my file over to some recovery agents. They have given me no advice about the MIB or told me how to do it - all they said was if they got back what they had paid out on my car, then they would reinstate my lost no claims bonus! I'll look into MIB - is there a time limit on it?
  16. I'm fed up with my car insurance. I had an accident last August when a youngish driver pulled out on me and then proceeded to try to do a U turn right in front of me. Course, he gave me insurance details but it turned out they were rubbish, and whilst the insurers confirm that he is held responsible, they have virtually ditched me now as he is uninsured and, at renewal my premium has rocketed to nearly £600 as a result of losing a large part of my no claims bonus - when it wasn't even my fault! Oh sure, they wrote to me and said they are passing it to some loss recovery centre but they said success is very rare! Great! From now on I'm making sure my no claims is protected but I am still smarting about this nearly a year on.
  17. I aternate my weekly shop between Sainsburys and Tesco (for a bit of a change) - but if I need something in between, I usually nip to Morrisons from work(all at Shirley) - I like Sainsburys the best of the three but they are all OK for different things. Occasionally go to Asda too but the other side of that big Island is a bit too near Blooz ground for me!!
  18. I like Dylan but I love Young - his greatest hits cd is virtually constant in my car! Love Heart of Gold, Harvest Moon, Needle and The Damage Done and , in fact, every track on the G Hits CD - also love his Unplugged CD.
  19. Talksport for Footie talk and Planet Rock on DAB for Music
  20. IF they go down, maybe Wolfman, will stop being on Talk Sport so much? Every bloody time you switch it on lately, he's on there spouting crap. I'm a bit wary about gloating yet - let's wait until Sunday evening and see
  21. Beatles for me too - (Sorry Rob)!!! I do like the Beach Boys as well though
  22. Will you marry me? Hey, why not, we like similar music, we're bothVilla fans - what would Mrs Mooney think about it though
  23. Impossible to decide for me too - love both. Agree that Tommy is the worst Who album though - I love Who's Next, Who Sell out and Quadrophenia best but then again, my all time favourite track is Led Zep - Thank You from Led Zep II (which rarely gets played publicly)/ Tough call and impossible to choose for me. I saw the Who Live in 1990 when Kenny Jones was on drums - they were fantastic even then - played a really long set without an interval - one of the best I've seen live.
  24. After the event (if we win) - there is nothing like having been there and seen us do it (especially at the Sty earlier this season) but during this week with all the build up and angst that we might lose, I think, on the whole, I'd rather do without this Derby game - yes, I'd much rather prefer it if they were at least one (and preferably several) divisions down from us - even allowing for the feeling if we do win!
