  1. That wouldn't be the case though. Again, NSWE own Villa Park. If they manufacture a sale to themselves, they'll still own it. Sorry. This was meant to qoute an earlier post.
  2. We're in good hands if we go up or not. I'm not worried. Smith hasn't even built his own team or had a proper preseason yet.
  3. "We" don't own Villa Park. NSWE do. So they sell it to another one of their "assets". So what? Its just a loophole or a way around an issue. They still own it. Yes FFP is nonsense, but if this happens, it has no bearing on us. If they sell the club on in the future, VP will be part of the deal.
  4. Wasn't expecting free flowing football but moving the ball quicker and giving those oafs less time to organise was something I expected. Thought we looked jaded and exhausted which surprised me. Same 13 players though and lots of effort a few days before. Hopefully the break gives us time to recharge.
  5. I thought it was some of the worst football we've played this season. Sloppy, nervous, slow, unimaginative. Once Brunt went off it was an assault and we were the only team seriously interested in attacking over the 2 legs and deserved to go through. But I thought we were very poor at the Hawthorns. We lost the game. To that Donkey Sanctuary. Nah, I can't dress it up. But we showed strength of purpose and resilience to get through even when were struggling and stuttering. That's as important as skill. More so. West Brom knew if they opened the game up we'd murder them though. Derby only play open. The Leeds game the other night was like a Rocky fight. Very entertaining but tactically non existent. From both teams. If Derby play like that against us, and we're on it, we'll take them apart. But we will also be aware we can't afford to be that sloppy again. A timely reminder.
  6. I'm sure they all have lucrative promotion bonuses.
  7. He's not PL quality in my opinion. Also, he's always fouling - pulling shirts, holding, coming through the back etc. Won't get away with it in the PL like he does in the Championship.
  8. The league games wont count for shit in the final, but its true we match up well if we execute. I had wanted to meet Leeds to make amends for how they played against us but I'm also delighted they're out. Also, while I think we would have been mentally focussed and beat them, losing to them would have been unbearable. Losing to Derby would still hurt, but they play fairly and their manager is a top man. But we're going up.
  9. Correct. They were looking so assured to be promoted automatically it would take a miracle to prevent it. Abbra cadabra....
  10. **** you Leeds you dirty scumbag bottlejobs.
  11. No. Now you can STFU about them.
  12. Just recovering too. I thought we were shocking but West Brom are a disgrace and dont deserve to contest a final. Dirty, oafish, cynical scumbags. The PL is no place for them. There's enough small clubs there already too. Make no mistake, we need to get our shit back together. We look knackered with slow build up play and erratic passing and movement. Nothing like we were a month ago. Might be harsh but there you go. Can't fault the guts at all. Still, time to rest up now and get it right again for the final.
  13. True enough. We all know there's a big job to do on WBA still. No guarantees Leeds get through either. They've choked at Elland Road more than once already.
  14. The only reason we didn't hammer them off the face of the Earth is they closed the space and abandoned any thought of attacking as a team. They don't have that luxury now, therefore...
  15. The **** neck on Leeds. The biggest crooks in the league. Please let us meet them at Wembley.
  16. With Bamford returning, their Amateur dramatics will be too strong for the rest. Makes them big favourites now. I'm sure Villalad will join me in some gut-churning simpering.
  17. How embarrassing for them. The Baggies fans who have a higher IQ than a German Shepherd will be cringing. All 7 of them.
  18. Ended our winning run when we were strolling around taking it easy in preparation for the playoffs, without our first choice striker, trying to kick lumps out of us and playing like the Germans in Escape to Victory.
  19. Correct. They made an absolute bollocks of their promotion run in. It was theirs to lose and they spectacularly failed, including losing to two of the shittest teams in the division, with a man extra. Abysmal. Doesn't mean they can't recover to still win the playoffs, but mentally strong? Don't make me laugh.
  20. Derby were poor and Leeds still managed no shots on target until late on. Not saying it will be anything but hard if we do face them in the final. As it should be. But they're not as good as Fulham last year, have nothing like the momentum and we're a better team and far more balanced than last year. Also, if there is such thing as Karma, Leeds cannot succeed. Dirty, cheating, underhand scumbags. Fear nought.
  21. I think it was right to start Whelan. The balance is better and allows Grealish and McGinn to press. When we play a team that isn't sitting back it allows too much space infront of our defence. For instance Leeds a few weeks ago. However, when pressing for a goal and playing a team sitting back. Conor is a must. His shooting from range and set pieces are a big plus Hourihane is a very limited player but what he does well, is very valuable to us.
