    Konsa's ability to get between the ball and the player to win a foul when under pressure is one of my favourite things. Knows exactly what he is doing and controls those situations so well

    I genuinely the most satisfying football viewing experiences are those matches - early cup games etc - that dont use VAR. Its just simpler and you know within a second whether the goal has been given so uninhibited celebrations can ensue I also think its rich that pundits are up on their high horse about all this - it has been the evolution of their hyper-focused dissection of every decision and criticism of mistakes that has brought us to this point. For years they would replay every decision after the game frame by frame with the benefit of time, no pressure and multiple pairs of eyes - then slag off the officials for any errors

    The one on left is my favourite of them all by far. The police badge ones look okay but they really dont mean anything to me - just a generic shape. These ones feel aston villa-y I would love to see a really really subtle brickwork effect in the background of the left shield. Would add interest/ texture and - for me personally - red brick reflects what I associate with Villa Park and the surrounding area. I also appreciate that there are a billion or so reasons why this is a terrible idea

    I definitely foresee a situation - probably this season - whereby Ten Hag or Poch get sacked and there will be a massively vocal outpouring of "Just go get Emery" from that teams fans. To which we will laugh as we continue to quietly build a legacy defining juggernaut. The only one I would worry about is potentially Real Madrid coming in for him (though BHA fans also have this fear about Di Zerbi apparently) but for some reason (probably my Claret and Blue lenses) I think Emery is honourable and stubborn enough to want to finish what he started - and continues to build - here at Villa rather than jump to another project.

    just realised ollie got an assist for Ramsey goal on top of scoring his three and his assist for Diaby. Does his rebounded shot for Dougies goal also count as an assist?

    He is such a tactical leader on the pitch now too - constantly communicating and directing play. He really has grown as a player for us and it's great to see. He totally knew what he was doing fouling that lad by head butting him in the shins before our goal by the way

    would be borderline irresponsible of Dyche to field anywhere near a strong team for this. If I were him I would absolutely take the hit, get out of the competition and focus on league survival which is absolutely paramount for Everton in their current state.

    Much like new kit season, it's usually the fan efforts that you see on social media - or here - that look the best The club should save a few quid, open a competition for fans to send in their mock ups and take it from there

    Strangely, if the club jumped onto DHGate and grabbed 20 knock off Chinese numbers for the squad they would probably look better on the pitch. Not that I condone that sort of behaviour obviously i wonder if the issue will be slightly improved when the days weather changes and the players start wearing base layers underneath the shirts

    For such an impressive squad in some areas, we really are lacking cover at full back. With the amount of work we ask our full backs to do we are risking burnout/ injury due to overloading Kinda feel we should have kept young for this very reason as he could've have covered either side I do think we wil rest Konsa - he said himself he was tired in the Chelsea post match interview

    you can tell he's gonna go flippin mental when he scores his first goal. If its in front of the holte he is definitely going to end up in it and we may never see him again
