  1. Surprised no one noticed that Retsos was also spelled incorrectly on the leaked teamsheet....
  2. That leaked teamsheet has "Ojran Nyland" in goal... I doubt the club would mess that up.
  3. Really sad news - thoughts are with Dean and his family. He did his dad proud.
  4. Scott Hogan - now he's absolutely shit. The guy can't score a goal for love nor money and as much as we can criticise Trez (and I was very critical of him missing the chance where Davis put him through last night), he guy does have a knack of putting away chances at important times, none more so than the one last night.
  5. Well I suppose we've got nothing Toulouse with him going there on loan!
  6. As far as I can see these are the rules: From here: https://www.premierleague.com/news/464747- Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.- The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.- Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.- A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club. So that reads as you can have four in total but only two at one time, so I guess that means you can have two in the first half of the season, they get recalled or club sends them back in Jan and then two more loans come in for the remainder of the season.
  7. If Reina comes in as expected, there's no way Benteke will be able to come back to us on loan as we've used up our last loan spot.
  8. That's our final loan slot gone, then. At least it'll put the dreams/nightmares of bringing Benteke back to bed once and for all. I don't know where we're going to stump up the funds for two forwards now.
  9. Absolute waste of our final loan slot.
  10. I've always knocked him a bit for his performances last season but in fairness whenever he's been called upon this season he's barely put a foot wrong.

    Ezri Konsa

Good game from both CBs today, although in my opinion Hause probably just edged it but I would start them both against Watford.
  12. I had my doubts about Trez at the start of the season but to be fair to him he has popped up with a few goals this season - but he misses a lot more than he scores and it's a shame we don't have many other players (Wes, for one) that can find the space that he does because he always seems to have an opportunity to have a pop on goal (bit like El Ghazi).
  13. Apparently Chester is going to be involved tonight according to Gregg Evans. Edit: Apologies - he's "expected" to be involved tonight!
  14. Leicester just too good for us on the day, we just couldn't cope with their pace and precision passing. Maddison and Vardy ran the show for them. They totally and completely exposed our defence throughout the game, although Smith didn't help by leaving Mings on the pitch when he got injured. Had we taken our early chance we could have been looking at a different outcome. I'm losing patience with Wesley very quickly now, he doesn't really offer us a goal threat. How many chances has he had in the last few games? Kodjia could be an option but I fear that he might be equally as useless but he does have an ability to create something out of nothing.
  15. Decent team and good enough to beat Liverpool U21/U19 but I'm sure Steer is out for a while (2 months from what I remember) - so we'll either get to see Nyland or Heaton in goal, probably the former.
  16. Everyone was crap today. Just not good enough from the players, we didn't turn up and Wolves did. Trezeguet goal was too little too late. Two early injuries killed the game off in positions where we have the lowest quality cover (considering we were playing our second choice keeper anyway).
  17. The irony of losing two players to injury within 45 minutes where our cover is the most lacking....
  18. Anyone remember the Bouma leg break in around 2007/2008 at VP? Quite similar to the Gomes injury. Just remember his foot hanging off his ankle. It was horrible! Edit: Just found a video of it on Youtube...
  19. Crap subs. Sorry Deano but you'll need to shoulder the blame for this defeat. Why he didn't bring on Konsa for Wesley is completely beyond me.
  20. He didn't need to come on, we should have taken off Wesley and brought on Konsa to try and defend the lead properly rather than bringing on an attacking option. Stupid from the manager.
  21. Bottled it at the end. Should have taken Wesley off, brought on Konsa and gone five at the back but Deano got it completely wrong at the end.
  22. So all this guy does is score.... Stick him up front - he could be our leading goalscorer come the end of the season
  23. I like Neil Taylor but I doubt he'd have managed to finish like that!
  24. We've finally got a first XI that can really play well together. Every man did his bit today and it showed with the final score. Shame Wesley never got his hat-trick but two goals today should do him the world of good.
