Honestly I feel the opposite. You lot are a good side but I think if a team wants to beat you they absolutely cannot give your back line/wingbacks time on the ball. So high pressure is the best way to beat you. The worst position is to go a goal down against you, because then you can just drop those wing backs deep and voila, we are facing a back 5 or six with an extra bank in front of that which is almost impossible to break down. So yeah up and at ya I say But it should be a cracking game when it comes.

Aye. If we go up, I would hope we would try and keep as much consistency as we can from this seasons squad. Re upping Hutton would be a sensible part of that. As well as permanently signing as many of our current loanees as we can.

Nah, I think some folks are assuming a lot of bad stuff that does not exist. We know (as the club already told us) things were very grim 16/17. We also know as the club have just told us, after all the cost cutting we are now profitable. Unless we think the club are now lying (although why they would is beyond me) we are in good shape. If we go up then we can probably keep this type of squad maybe an upgrade. if we don't then yeah we will have to let all the higher payers go who are out of contract and sign up younger championship players instead. We are going to be fine though. We have a good owner with deep pockets we just need to navigate FFP, which is a challenge but a lot easier for a club of our size.

To be fair to MON Whelan is a damn fine player. But I do agree with you, MON would be unlikely to get the best out of Grealish.

Well speaking for myself I absolutely AM getting carried away with our current run, I feel a sense of entitlement and smug over confidence that I am enjoying immensely. Sure at some point I am going to come down to earth with a thump, heck it maybe this weekend, but moments in time like this come few and far between for Villa fans. For damn sure I am going to milk every bit of enjoyment out of it while it lasts.
