  1. As a footballer, yes, I can see why people call him shit and useless. Again, doesn’t mean they hate the bloke. There is a difference. Honestly, his performances against Newcastle and Watford were shit!
  2. Lol. ‘Whatever he does’. Play poorly you mean? The man scored a penalty. Outside of that, he was our worst player and arguably the worst player on the pitch. He isn’t rubbish, he just isn’t anywhere near the level we need him to be at. He can count himself extremely lucky, having spent the money we have, to be even in the squad on match days. Injuries have meant he has had to start.
  3. I don’t understand why people keep using the word ‘hate’ either. I don’t hate the bloke, he comes across as a very decent guy and a great team mate. Just because I don’t rate him at all, doesn’t mean I hate him.
  4. I must admit, I thought he should probably have gone after the Leicester game a couple of seasons back when we lost 4-0. I thought the only way we’d survive was by bringing a new manager in. Luckily, Dean turned it around and has improved us. I think he’ll struggle a bit this season but who’s to know. I hope he absolutely smashes it. I think finishing 11th again should be seen as an achievement having lost Grealish.
  5. Yeh, exactly. I’d quite like him to develop an arrogance to his play, like the way Grealish did as he developed. Measured aggression isn’t a bad trait either, albeit I think he’s more than happy getting stuck in as it is.
  6. We finished 11th. The idea is to improve. We won’t be finishing higher than 11th if Luiz plays as much as he did last season.
  7. He’s better on the ball than Nakamba and possibly even McGinn
  8. I think Buendia will play on the left and Bailey on the right. Could be wrong though! Exciting all the Same
  9. Yeh, absolutely. If we’re being honest, he’s not at Jack’s level, but only 4/5 players in the world are. Buendia will be great for us, I’m sure of it. His defensive work will be a real asset and as soon as that first assist comes, I’m hoping it will be the first of many! Would like to see him on the left when Bailey comes back. Or perhaps as a 10 again, just not sure we have the central midfielders for him to play that role.
  10. Hopefully mate. Would love him to shield that back 4. Not sure if he’s good enough on the ball to do it, but his physical stature lends itself to the role. Bloody love Axel.
  11. I agree. Unbelievable how well he’s kept his body in gear. I waxed lyrical about Targett last season but he was dreadful against Watford and he looked badly out of shape. This is what competition does. If you don’t perform, you’re out and it could be a while before you get in again.
  12. I don’t really think he’s improved at all tbh. Genuinely, I don’t.
  13. When he’s not pretending to be unconscious, yeh.
  14. Yeh agreed. He’s superb for where he’s at now. I said it last season, but his ability with the ball at his feet and running at speed is what separates him from our other midfielders. He can move, at pace with the ball and carry us up the pitch. McGinn, Luiz and Nakamba can’t do that as well so it’s great to have that mix. He’s also a ridiculous athlete. He’ll run all day which is what you need in the middle of the park. As others have said, a goal will take him to the next level. He could very well be our best midfielder come the end of the season. Our youngsters, for the first time in however long, are something to be very excited about. Between the two Ramsey’s, Carney and Kessler, we’ve got a lot to be excited about. And that’s not even mentioning some of the others who could very well smash it.
  15. Not sure in truth. Excited to see him against Barrow though! I imagine he’ll start along with JPB.
  16. We’re sorted for no.8’s. Between Ramsey, McGinn and Sanson, we’re stacked. Personally, I think Ramsey has the potential to be best of the lot. If we can just find a very good defensive midfielder, it will be ace.
  17. I bloody love Tuanzebe. I don’t think you can read too much into yesterday but I would love if they’re trying to mould him into a defensive midfielder.
  18. I know, right? None of us are disputing our improvement under Smith and NSWE, some are just a little concerned about this season and not having Grealish. If you highlight any concerns though, you’re just entitled, ungrateful and negative. UTV
  19. I’d love a midfield 3 of Kamara, Ramsey and Kamada..
  20. I can’t argue with most of that tbh. He was cheap and he probably is ok as a squad option, but I don’t rate him much at all. I find him to be a very frustrating player.
  21. It’s Villa remember.. A slight hamstring injury puts you out for 6 months.
  22. Almost. Still hasn’t addressed that weak central midfield area though
  23. Lol. A confident el Ghazi? When has he been confident? How many times has he had the chance to gain confidence only to then put in a horrid display after the event? This idea that he’s a confidence player is just an excuse for him playing poorly week in week out. He’s just not very good.
