    I agree Ings is better than Tammy but I don’t see a how we can fit Ings and Watkins in the same team without playing one out of position.

    A bad result against Newcastle and you’ll start to see a few people getting more anxious about losing Grealish. It’s clear to see that we’re a couple short still. Another loss will confirm that.

    I know people are deadset against it, but we could and possibly should have a complete overhaul of our midfield in this window if we can. With the money we have at our disposal we could really transform our team. Sell Nakamba, loan out Hourihane, Ramsey, Chukwuemeka. There will be clubs queuing up for Ramsey and Chuk. Then go out and buy two top quality central midfielders.

    I find it slightly annoying that an injured Sanson is probably the reason we can't bring in a player like Ward Prowse. Never really got that signing.

    An open question to all V’talkers: Free kicks aside (not discounting their value to a team) is he better in open play than McGinn, Nakamba and Luiz?

    Weston McKennie next to JWP in the double pivot (whatever the f*** one of those is) sounds bloody good to me.

    Signing JWP would be great but I’m still waiting for the club to unearth that gem for 5-10m. I’m not saying that it’s in any way easy to do that, but I was under the impression when hiring McKenzie that we’d spend big but then throw in a couple of gems from abroad that would turn into the next Kante/Mahrez. I really hope we can shift Nakamba, El Ghazi, Wesley and Hourihane before the window shuts and bring in a couple of central midfielders.

    Totally agree. I think some of these French/Spanish/Italian teams might get a bit twitchy if they haven’t got the big money they wanted for some of their players earlier in the window..
