I can’t argue with this tbf. I don’t think the club have handled everything you mention that well, but on the whole, Smith has had it very tough. Hope he pulls through it. Funny, this time last year, the international break was annoying as we had momentum. This year, as a club, we need it more than anyone just to regroup. We’re dropping like flies.

Not always no. Just because a person is in a position of power, doesn’t make them untouchable. Bruce is still a football manager, remember? I trust our guys, but I’ll still offer opinion on what I think is best to do.

Possibly, but that’s not necessarily good for his development. I think he should be on loan.

One thing I don’t get is, if our targets aren’t available this Summer, why will they be available next summer when we’re likely to have finished lower than 11th? There are players out there that will improve us and we need to bring a couple in to improve. All of a sudden, everyone seems to have just given up trying to finish in the top 10 and settling for being a mid table, run of the mill PL side. It’s only going to get harder to attract players when you’re finishing lower in the table.

There’s no way we’ll finish 10th. We’ll be somewhere between 11th/14th I think. A good team will batter us. Slightly worried about when we come up against a decent side, they’ll walk through our midfield.

He should be on loan. This idea that a load of 17/18yr olds are gonna fire us to Europe is madness. We have a good crop of 17/18/19yr olds, let’s send them out on loan for a couple of years to get fitter and stronger and see where we’re at then. No rush with these kids.
