  1. There’s no way we’ll finish 10th. We’ll be somewhere between 11th/14th I think. A good team will batter us. Slightly worried about when we come up against a decent side, they’ll walk through our midfield.
  2. He should be on loan. This idea that a load of 17/18yr olds are gonna fire us to Europe is madness. We have a good crop of 17/18/19yr olds, let’s send them out on loan for a couple of years to get fitter and stronger and see where we’re at then. No rush with these kids.
  3. He’s done ok but you can see the pace is new to him. He will only get better. Great experience for him.
  4. Ings will be disappointed he didn’t bury that. Great instinct mind.
  5. Every now and again, a random set of events means a young player has to start and they shine in that match. Then, the rest is history. Im hoping today is Carneys day.
  6. How long does a fractured rib keep you out for? Or should I ask, how long does a fractured rib at Aston Villa keep you out for?
  7. Everybody is starting to talk about both Mings and McGinn being out along with possibly Ings too.
  8. Targett took Ings out his fantasy team this week..
  9. Especially given how many shots teams have against us..
  10. Tammy Abraham isn’t even as good as Ollie Watkins lol
  11. I don’t miss Jack half as much as I thought I would. Even if we’re languishing in 14th/15th this season, I kinda feel like the time was right for us as a club to move on from Grealish - as shocking as that sounds. We were as close to a one man team this league has ever seen and we needed to move away from our over reliance on him and create a more balanced attacking unit. Whether or not we’ve managed to do that, I don’t know, but in time we will. Again, as daft as it sounds, it almost feels as though a weight has been lifted off the shoulders of the club. It certainly feels that way to me. Everything we did was about Jack. We were about to offer him a salary probably 3x higher than 80% of the other players. It would have just fed into the narrative and the design that the club was all about Jack and the other players were playing second fiddle to his brilliance. He’s just another player now at another club. I don’t particularly wish him that well because of the way he manufactured a route out of the club where the clubs hands were tied. A proper fan, loyal to the club that developed you as a player since the age of 8 would never have done that. The same club that has spent countless thousands of pounds on your development both directly and indirectly. The same club that made you a millionaire and a household name. It was a really shady move in my opinion. I look forward to each match now without the Jack fanfare.
  12. I think the point is they’re not going backwards. Or at least, on paper they haven’t. We have lost our best player and it’s all a bit up in the air as to how we will fare this season. I can’t see us finishing above Arsenal.
