  1. Isn’t the original whispers. Has been found out numerous times.
  2. For the right price, I think we can sell and improve. He's going to cost the best part of £60m and if you go and get Bissouma for that (who is a better player), it's profit and an improvement. This is different to the Grealish situation. He was unique and there was no way we were going to be able to replace him. McGinn can be replaced either by signing someone using all of the money (Bissouma/Gallagher etc.) or buy signing 2 players for 30m with good scouting. We shouldn't be worried when teams come after our better players if they're tied to decent contracts. The worst case scenario is we lose them and we get a shit load of cash in return. Liverpool and Leicester have sold their best players in recent times and improved. If we're a well run club like we all claim we are, we should be able to sell McGinn and improve.
  3. I'm probably with you. Either that or push Ramsey up alongside Buendia and bring Mcginn back in alongside Sanson and Luiz. The Ings/Watkins thing isn't working and Ollie deserves to be starting ahead of Ings who is mostly anonymous in games unfortunately.
  4. It was poor from Mings, but a very poor ball from Sanson. The mistake aside, Sanson played well.
  5. Really hope he signs a new deal. He’s going to really push for a starting place next year. This year is all about integrating him into the first team squad and getting him up to speed. He’s going to be a very good player.
  6. There was a stat flying around that he was but he’s never looked quick to me. Always a yard too slow when going around the outside of his man.
  7. He wasn’t lazy but I always felt it looked like he worked and ran a lot more than he actually did because he was always blowing and covered in sweat. I think his athleticism is a problem. He’s also quite slow in most situations.
  8. I’ve always thought he was overweight. Just putting it out there.
  9. Yep, it’s now or never. Either pay £50m or miss out.
  10. I think it would take £50m and if we did pay that, he might not even want to come anyway.
  11. 11m55s onwards. Romano talking about Bissouma deal being complicated and that Newcastle are in for him. Can't really see this one happening as there will be too much interest from the top 4 teams.
  12. This is very true. We seem to be able to convince players that may be looking for CL football to join Villa and the ‘project’. Bissouma may be different, but £100k a week now and the Coutinho/Digne stuff may convince him.
  13. One thing is for sure, if we don’t sign him this January, we definitely aren’t signing him in the Summer.
  14. I would be lying if I said the spending didn’t worry me.
  15. Hmmm, strange deal. I guess it's to get his wages off the books but there is absolutely no way Everton are exercising an option to buy on El Ghazi at £15m when they see him play.
  16. Apparently it’s a permanent deal in the region of £15m.
  17. From a Brighton thread... 1. Persistent rumours 2. Starting on the bench for his NT, something that sometimes happens if a player has his mind elsewhere 3. Caicedo recalled I'm starting to get a little bit worried. I think they're a little concerned and resigned to losing Bissouma. Honestly, he's the one that I want (ooh, ooh, ooh) above anybody else. He's a level above any of our current midfielders. Would make our team on paper look as strong if not stronger than Spurs/Arsenal/West Ham etc.
  18. Tom C was pretty much first to most stories in the Summer window. As good, if not better than Percy in terms of transfer news.
