I think we probably will end up selling him this window. There’s a lot of noise around it now and if we’ve had a genuine offer of £32m already, that means there is encouragement from either the players camp or that the club will listen to offers. He’s got 18 months left on his contract. The club need to be sensible here and they will fully understand he’s not going to be more valuable than he is at this very moment. If we get an offer of £35m+, I think he’ll leave in the next few days.

Not sure he is. Xhaka is actually a very good player, he just keeps getting sent off and most of the fans hate him for that big bust up he had a couple of years back.

You say that Keyblade, but he’s not one of our best players. We’re trying to sign a top DM to replace Luiz in the side. There is no way Gerrard will play him as an 8 ahead of McGinn and Ramsey. If Arsenal want to spend £35m on Luiz then we need to go and spend that wisely and it’s us who will benefit. Luiz really isn’t that great. A good, decent player is all.

That’s how I see it, provided one of Coutinho or Bailey comes good. Once we sign Bissouma (), we’ll have a very good team and squad of players. I actually think the position that needs upgrading after that would be Striker as you suggest. Somethings not right with Watkins.

I’m honestly not fussed if we lose him for a very good price. If somebody bids anywhere near £40m, they’re bonkers. He’s a good player and he hasn’t really kicked on in the last 18 months at all. I’d argue he’s not lived up to expectations after his best spell of form after project restart. He’s not performed that well since. I also don’t think he’s dynamic or physical enough as a number 8. He’s a tidy, neat player with a good touch. If we get massive money for him then we can reinvest in a better player IMO.

They’re not happy he’s been allowed to leave for a free and some actually think he’s a tad underrated. It’s a strange move all round really. I suppose he comes here as 3rd choice? Or 4th choice behind Hause? Either way, him and Hause are both starting new contracts now so maybe the management team are happy with Mings and Konsa for the foreseeable? I certainly like that partnership and don’t see the need to spend 30/40m on an upgrade just yet. We have other areas that need addressing first.
