  1. I'm not sure it makes much difference. Both have weak points and both are capable of doing decent things. I dont think either one are currently the difference between winning and losing.
  2. Haha why? We've survived, job complete. Today's result means nothing. Why some are so eager to want to have a go at him is beyond me. Still want Gill here ahead of him?
  3. I couldn't care less about todays result. This is not his team, this is not a squad that have spent long periods of time working with the manager. It was a shit result during a magnificent period for us. **** it. The chances of that back 5 playing together next year is slim. We're on to bigger and better things now.

As its a meaningless game I agree. But if it wasn't I'd prefer Sinclair or gabby to take the place of nzogbia.
  5. Westwood was better than cleverly today. Much better.
  6. I think he's really succeeded in bringing a feel good factor back. Will you ever stop picking holes in others posts I wonder? I really like Tim and don't deny he has bought it back but he has had his bad days that has made me stop and think. Hence why I'm cautiously optimistic going forward rather than blindly positive. I can still enjoy today though and appreciate the work Tim has done since being here without getting down on my knee in front of him. I don't think you have to drop on a knee for him, I'm just surprised you think the feel good factor has just about come back. The feeling round villa park and at wembley since his arrival has been brilliant. That's up to you to feel like that, I'm just saying thanks to Tim and posting my own take on it. I've not said the feel good factor hasnt come for all just that for me its been slower. Results against stoke, Newcastle, Swansea, QPR and Saints today have made me stop from being 100% confident but I support him and hope he continues his success. Fair enough. I read it as the feel good factor on the whole.
  7. You're making a change to an event that happened and assuming everything happens the same way. Given didn't have much to do hence we'd have won if Guzan had played. But Given not playing may have led to other things happening in the game that meant it didn't play out exactly the same way. It's far too simple a thing to assume, like I said it doesn't work like that.
  8. Don't think it works like that. The fact is we won them with Given in goal and made a big difference after the loss against city I've read this post about 10 times and I still don't know what it means. It doesn't work like that? What, me thinking we'd have won those games with guzan in goal? No you thinking that works like that, but it's a meaningless statement. The last game Guzan played we lost, mainly down to him. We then won those games with Given in goal.
  9. I agree with most of that but it's the phrase tactically naive that I disagree with, like you say it's a harsh phrase to use towards him. We've had games that we've dominated and we've had games that have been poor or we've been unable to change. But if we're honest that goes for every manager outside probably the top 3.

  11. Tactically naive because of today? What about the games we've won and dominated? Do those tactics get ignored?

Hope he gets a start against Burnley and can play a big part next season.
  13. Nope. Best keeper outside the top 4 for me, regardless of a slightly up and down season I'd have Loris, Adrian, Schmeical and Howard over him from teams outside the top 4. Better keeper than all of them for me Than Loris? That's crazy talk.
  14. Hopefully sinclair and cleverly get signed up pretty quickly.
  15. I think he's had games where he's been miles ahead of a player like Collins and been superb. But overall I just don't think he's been good enough on a consistent basis. He won't be a player i'll miss if he leaves.

  17. Too long? What. 3 months? Yeah I'm sure he's really desperate. No manager has ever gotten a job after being out of the game for 3 months. Not sure I said that. Reading something that's not there and laughing to yourself. Good luck with that. Oh and thanks Paul for being so bad that we could finally get rid. Now time to go back to enjoying supporting villa again.
  18. I think he's really succeeded in bringing a feel good factor back.
  19. Yep that season was a worry till the last few games.
  20. To be top 10 next year I think we need just a couple of players and good luck with injuries. With a good window and sherwood getting a pre season I think we could do it.
  21. It really shouldn't The fact we've looked completely different (most of the time) means he deserves extra credit.
  22. No issue at all with bringing a new keeper in. We need to keep looking to improve and Guzan has been pretty average for awhile now.
  23. Yep would be nice to have a fresh start next season.
