To some extent i can see that but i don't accept it and i'm someone who consistently defends kodjia on here. Its the easy way out and he is a £15 million striker. What if everyone doubted themselves and wanted out? We need players to step up in those moments. I could accept keinan davis turning it down but i'm very disappointed in kodjia.

I think, given the circumstances, its an incredible achievement that he has matched what we did last year. Has shut a lot of doubters up and continues to show how terrible the last guy was. I bloody love him.

He certainly left a mess and its a credit to Dean Smith that we are in this position. Smith had to recall 3 players Bruce deemed not needed. One of them being a keeper and also signed another to correct the mess Bruce made in that position. Smith bringing in Mings and Hause helped clean up the mess made of the defence. And a good system and solid coaching has enabled this fantastic run. Don't confuse excellent work by the current manager with Bruce leaving us in a good position. He didn't.

He was excellent as part of a back 3 but he really was average out wide. The move to centre mid brought out the best in him.

Not much to disagree with. He had a couple of decent seasons and some shit ones. I feel he was very overrated by a lot of fans, i think his record fee and his difficult start meant fans were desperate for him to be the star striker we all dreamed of and when he wasn't it had to be the fault of others.

100% agreed. Although he did say its not fair to judge him when playing with worse players. That's the part i don't agree with.

Haha. You're using the widely accepted greatest of all time to argue that players are judged on who supplies them? Brilliant. I'm not arguing it doesn't have an impact but its not the main way to judge them. Its certainly not something that would be the definitive way to judge a player or something that means an individual player can't be judged on what they do.

Does everyone get this generous way of judging them? You could argue the vast majority of players would be better playing with better players. That's hardly ground breaking stuff. The idea that Angel was too clever for his teammates is laughable stuff invented because people are desperate for it to be true. The same way for a long time people tried to argue that Hogan had world class movement.

God that defence of him used to wind me up. Reminds me of the constant excuses made for Hogan. Angel had his moments but he was very average a lot of the time. One amazing season.

Yep. Grealish has basically done a reverse delph. Signed a new deal knowing full well he might be off but given the club a lot of power to get maximum value. I doubt we will hold out for £60 million if we fail to go up. We will do the right thing by Jack and sell him to a premier league team for the right price. Nice that we won't be dicked over. Also shoves it in the face of the scum fans who are wetting themselves at the idea we will need to sell him for peanuts because of FFP
