    Yep good point. We sign a keeper and another striker and we could be close to £150 million spent. Maybe we are going over what people thought we would because we know this deal could potentially happen

    I've been thinking it. Nixon (yes i know his record is dodgy) has been mocked a few times on his mcginn to man u story and he responds with a smiley face. We have signed 2 midfield players, given hourihane a new deal and lansbury lots of playing time. Mcginn was also clearly part of the reserve unit last night Its got my interest.

    Could the plan be Luiz plays when we expect to have most of the ball and Nakamba when we don't.

    You can tell they know they've **** up. So many telling me how Jota will be useless when we face good teams and we will soon get annoyed with him. Hahaha loving it.

    Yeah i'm the same. I just don't see how he doesn't succeed. He has the talent and the attitude and the team is built around him. Destined for greatness this year and england caps.

    Engels has looked very comfortable on the ball. Hardly spaffing it, he slightly over hit a 60 yard pass

    Maybe its wishful thinking but lansbury looks good with intelligent quality players around him

    What is brilliant is that we play nice stuff, keep the ball and then just explode at the right moment.

    When did we last have so many players this comfortable on the ball. Jota is a steal.

    Jota needs credit for keeping the ball in to start that move. Quality player.

    If chester and taylor are sold then this makes more sense. But that's a big if.

    I'd be surprised if a player starting as cb will move to be behind Luiz in a position he can play in.

    This guy, el ghazi and jota for £20 mill seems incredible business.

    The problem is we've not been in the situation were we can have the patience and risk the gambles. Without offending your club, you seem quite content to just be in the championship. In the last 10 years, we've been trying to break the top 4, trying to survive in the prem and trying to gain promotion from the championship. None of those aims, fit with developing our own players slowly and taking the gamble of them coming good or not
