  1. This Lamar Jackson situation is exactly why american football is so exciting. The star players moving around relatively frequently, sometimes to lesser teams, sometimes for no logical reason.
  2. I prefer brown toast when it's on its own (particularly Vogel's bread), but it has absolutely no place on the same plate as a full english. Firmly in the anti-tomatoes group though - plum or fried. Just slap some beans on (preferably not in a separate ramekin) and happy days.
  3. Really digging the QB trades/FA pick ups this off-season so far. Pleased for Carr too. I'm one of the few who actually thinks he's better than people give him credit for.
  4. ZEKE! In fairness, it was probably time to go. Hasn't been the same since the season he chose to go to pissing it up in Cabo instead of turning up for pre-season. The Pollard era begins for Big D.
  5. Really poor refereeing today. Breaking down teams who sit deep still appears to be a sticking point for these players (although we're much better than we used to be at it, granted). One of those days. The 'fan' mimicking the ref's whistle is a disgrace too and should be banned for a while.
  6. This. All day. Milk Chocolate Hobnobs are the greatest though. Best method of eating is to stack two with chocolate sides facing and then a quick dunk in a cuppa tea. Perfection. As for McVities saying the chocolate on Chocolate Digestives is on the bottom, I've yet to witness somebody eat one - in the wild, unprompted - with it the chocolate side down.
  7. The only way to stop negativity on the pitch is positivity in the crowd. Mentality should never be underestimated, especially at the top where the margins between success and failure are so fine.
  8. The sooner we realise booing, jeering, and having a moan is counter-productive to players upping their game, the better. It makes them more prone to errors which, ultimately, can cost us games. We also need to stop having these reactions to back and side passes. This seems to happen quite a lot. Sometimes you need to pass back to pass forward.
  9. Win is a win. Lovely job. Here's to the rest of the weekend!
  10. 4.6 is generous. I'd have had him somewhere nearer to Becker's score (not that GK scores are comparable with outfield players) or less.
  11. I'm not sure what the lowest ever player rating is at this level, but it surely now has to be Joe Gomez from last night. Last night was an abysmal performance, even by his standards.
  12. The Astrodome? It's still there, but hasn't been active for roughly a decade. It's on America's equivalent of a 'listed buildings' list now, so it can't be demolished.
  13. Suppose I better support Arlington by Cowboys-proxy. Go... *checks notes* Renegades! I do love the fact San Antonio are in the Alamodome though. One of my favourite arenas. Shame they couldn't get Houston in the Astrodome too. I just really like decrepit dome arena/stadiums.
  14. This will be a symbiotic relationship which will benefit both clubs. We can loan them promising players to gain experience (possibly even playing in European competition) and/or work permits, plus they'll be given transfer funds to bolster their options in the transfer windows. We can also pick off any promising players they bring through. Everybody wins here.
  15. Friends and family = out Porno skanks = in
  16. Yes, Chiefs. Beautiful to see the Eagles lose in such crushing fashion. As much as I hate them though, and as much as I wasn't excited for this Super-Bowl, this was the best one I've seen.
  17. The wildest thing about LeBron for me is I remember a kid in my high school (in 2001 or 2002) telling me there was his high school kid in America called LeBron James who's almost guaranteed to go down as one of the greatest of all time when his career is over. I genuinely didn't think he'd still be playing over twenty years later and it's crazy how accurare his prediction was and how certain he was about it. Doesn't happen much in the NFL. Most of the hyped-up school-system proteges tend to flop or fade into the middle.
  18. Not sure what's worse, to be honest.
  19. Look forward to their inevitable £200k fine and January 2024 transfer window embargo...
  20. All other NFC East teams and Aaron Rodgers (and, by association, Green Bay). I think I'm okay with everybody else. Even the 49ers are now just a fun historical rivalry... although this could change if they maintain their upward trajectory.
  21. I forgot to pick last weekend, resulting in the 0 points I still would have received as I would have picked Cincy and, out of spite, the 49ers.
