    He's highly regarded as 'promising' amongst his peers, but was also the sole reason for a few of our defeats this season. Sometimes makes inexplicable calls. Seems to favour TE plays, especially in the red-zone. I'd say we were above average on offense this season, but whether this was down to him, or our abundance of talent, is hard to tell.

    The officiating in the NFL has been dreadful for ages. It's either overly strict, doesn't relate to the play at all (as in, had no impact on it - the most annoying instances, imo), or they completely miss stuff. As a Dallas fan, I know this all too well...

    Disappointed for Cincy. Makes the SB a little less exciting. Do I support the Chiefs to spite the Eagles or do I support the Eagles as a representation of NFC East dominance... Let's go Pat! ...I suppose.

    I still think we should be happier with no signings than the wrong signings. I do think we'll get something done by the end of the window though. Would be nice to have some decent deadline day activity for a change.

    He wanted Falcao too, who was offered to us for only £7.5m. MON himself suggested it was too expensive and, instead, opted for Heskey for £3.5m... Falcao ended up leaving River for Porto a few months later... for 3.9m euros...

    Real good women's final this morning. Good to see two likable players in the final too, although Rybakina always unnerves me somewhat as she looks exactly like the lass I went to year 11 prom with way back when. Would love to see Novak get knocked off his perch tomorrow. Quite excited for this season though as we're in the sweet spot where the big guns (well, Novak and Rafa - if he can keep it together physically - these days) are still excellent, while the next generation (Alcaraz, Ruud, Tsitsipas, Sinner, Tiafoe, etc) are approaching/at a standard where they can realistically defeat them, and each other. As for the women's game, there's literally about 20 players who could win each event. Exciting times!

    The TV revenue split in Spain (particularly) is wildly unfair. We get an equal share in the Prem. £79m each (as of the 21/22 season) and look how that's working out. You can't have two or three clubs taking double or triple what everybody else is. The reason mid-table Prem clubs can outspend big Euro 'brands' like AC Milan is because the league shares the wealth to all clubs to create a more competitive, and therefore exciting, league. Nonetheless, I suppose we're going off topic somewhat with this.

    They should have focused on marketing their leagues a bit better and doling out fairer TV rights deals (particularly La Liga, in the latter regard). They dug their own graves.

    Agreed. Burrow vs. Mahomes is going to be interesting though. I genuinely see Burrow as the new Brady. Unlike all past pretenders, he's the real deal.

    Some Newcastle supporter on TalkSport this morning talking up Eddie Howe (and his staff) and then randomly having a dig at Unai claiming, with all the confidence and none of the evidence, "his wave will crash soon". Couldn't help but laugh. They're high on oil fumes.

    Agreed. Buying players/plugging positions for the sake of it is what caused us to have a squad comprised of the sub-standard players we're currently trying to offload. Bring the right players in, for the right money, and at the right time. If need be, plug the gaps with a few loans until the summer.
