We have to promise to improve this team. He needs more players on his wavelength. More Douglas type players, especially up front. Can't be telling him to stick around for another relegation battle, that's just wasting a year where he could've been winning trophies. -
How do Watford dust themselves off and try to go from here? No manager, their third of the season recently sacked, just got smacked at home 4-0 and playing an Arsenal side that want to relegate them, fight for their place in the cup final XI and bounce back from a limp defeat, I'm that order. I can't think of a taller task.

I want to see us get this squad to the point where can get us looking like how we did in the Championship. That's the dream. Performances like Blackburn 2019 against PL opposition. Hope I live to see something like that.

From the Watford forum: For once we have stability. I hope this continues until we reach the point where Dean has reached his limitations and can't push us forward anymore. Done with chopping and changing managers. Left that at the door with Lerner.

If he pulls this off, it might almost be as good as last season's run. Last Sunday we were 7 points from safety and 5/6 down in terms of GD. Today we're outside the relegation zone with a superior goal difference. Incredible really. To go from how dejected I was when West Ham and Watford won last Saturday to how elated I am now is amazing.

Hoping he's just struggling with the pace of the league and he'll have a Luiz-esque renaissance of sorts because I'm struggling reconcile how someone as bad as he's looked could finish the way he does. It makes no sense.

Was kind of disappointed we ended up signing him instead of Axel, but now I couldn't be happier. Coming on leaps and bounds and he has most of the qualities that made me love Axel anyway.

Yup, a few upgrades to key positions in the starting XI. Might cost as much as we spent last summer but we have the squad for that now. In that respect, this season was a massive success if we stay up.

What an amazing 2 years it would be if he could keep us up. Got to say, it's never a dull moment with him in charge. He really sparked my love for Villa back to life.

He tried to Harry Kane that goal and then it turned out he wasn't Harry Kane. He's just so tantalizingly close, just like that shot. You would hope he just needs that one goal to bring it all together. We've been saying this for years now though.

I know a lot of people on here are jumping to be vindicated by what they were harping on for months about with no evidence, but he gave an honest answer. "I'm not sure". In other words, if we get relegated on Sunday, he's definitely off. If we don't then it's up in the air. It would depend on offers from other teams, whether or not the club are receptive to said offers, whether or not the ownership can make a good pitch to Jack in the summer etc. In other words, nobody has a **** clue. What would you have had him say "Yeah I'm definitely staying mate, VTIDoi even if we get relega'ed"? -
El Ghazi puts the ball in the net instead of helping out Pickford, Bournemouth would be relegated right now and we'd only need a draw on the final day to secure safety barring a miraculous 2 goal margin win by Watford on the final day. So frustrating!
