  1. Have sold my scuffed HTC One to Mazuma but before I send it off I want to download all my photos on the phone to my iMac. Tried the simple Bluetooth method but my iMac didn't recognise the Android although it was set up to do so. Have tried the completely useless HTC One Sync Manager which just crashes whenever I try to use it and then downloaded 'Android File Transfer' with the result that after plugging my HTC One into the USB port on the iMac and then opening the 'Android File Transfer' as per instruction it didn't recognise my HTC One and kept asking me to connect the phone which was already connected. Now going to try downloading my photos onto the iPad Air to see if there's any joy?
  2. But there is a social barrier there already if you do mention to a colleague of the same gender that he looks attractive. What we're getting at is how to you tell someone of the opposite sex that he or she is attractive and what approach is acceptable either in the workplace or outside.
  3. That's really my point TV. There's so much hogwash these days about what is acceptable and what isn't in how you approach people of the opposite sex. A man can't apparently tell a lady that's she's attractive but a women can use the same approach without causing offence. It's probably one of the reasons why dating sites have become so popular now that people find it more comfortable to use a keyboard than the personal touch in fear of offending someone.
  4. By doing it with sincerity and without an ulterior motive. Unfortunately, the latter especially, rarely exists. But how do you judge sincerity and how do you know that the person complimenting you just wants bed action and nothing else? Thinking back to when I was clubbing with my mates it was difficult enough to approach a girl without having to worry about showing sincerity. Telling someone that you find them attractive should be taken as a compliment or would you rather men not approach you at all?
  5. I hate buying cards. Total waste of money as you throw them out the following day and have decided this is where I make my stand from now until death. Commercial bollocks.
  6. It doesn't really take a idiot to understand our results though.
  7. Can I ask in all seriousness the ladies on site (without any auntie jokes) after reading comments in the piss you off thread how can a bloke complement you on your appearance without offending?
  8. It might be the last defence but its a pretty important one. I couldn't care much about the wages and no I wouldn't jump for joy knowing we've reduced our wage bill. Obviously results are more important to a football fan. But you can't just ignore what he's had to do. It could of been more gradual but you don't get time in football, this thread proves that. TLR i don't think anyone has ignored what he has had to do but it's the way he has done it which has grated with me and others. The major upheaval in playing staff was a contributor to our start and indeed to our form over two thirds of last season and the fans realized this which is why apart from a select few (me included) the fans didn't get onto his back and were prepared to give him time. Our form this season with few exceptions has been poor again with the majority of fans still showing patience but that patience is starting to wane a little now because the football played has, by and large, been dreadful with two wins in the last 13 with no real improvement. So I feel it is a little unfair to suggest that Lambert hasn't been given time to at least show some improvement in the way we are currently playing and most fans if shown that improvement would accept that for the time being.
  9. I think you're under estimating hugely the task of replacing a whole squad on a fraction of the wages in 18 months. This 100% It seems others above believe we have the Barcelona B team as our reserve squad when the fact is you cant just throw them in and hope for the best. The players bought in had at least played first team football in leagues with grown men rather against other 'boys'. It amazes me the Football Manager, I know how football works mentality on here, just because Gary Gardner gets bought for Barcelona on Football Manager doesnt mean he will make it. He certainly looked a good player at one point against unfit teams in a pre-season but has since had a major injury which means he very well may not make it at the top level. I appreciate he needs to be tried, but keeping our prem status is the first task and then we can try and blood some more players in. Throwing youth with no first team experience into what was McLeash's team would not have had good results I can assure you.I guess you would of seen us winning lots of games at home in the championship..... This is very interesting. No-one believes we have the Barcelona B as our reserve squad and I think you are missing the point people are trying to make which is are those players in our reserve team any worse that those currently in the first team squad and why sign and play Holt when you have Bowery and Helenius who couldn't contribute any less.
  10. No mate I'm not and it could have been a more gradual process. Since this seems to be the last bastion of defence for Lambert what do think is more important. The fact that he has reduced wage outlay or results?
  11. What makes you think he will backed on his targets in the summer when he wasn't over the past three windows? Lambert's achievements to date have been clearing out what he deemed the deadwood thereby cutting wage expenditure and Benteke. Would other managers have spotted Benteke's potential? Well he wasn't exactly a unknown quantity having played for Belgium. Would any other manager coming in have emulated the Lambert clear out. Of course they would especially if under instruction to do so. Does Lambert's current record of results warrant a new contract when other managers have been sacked for less?
  12. But isn't that the point. He's not even good enough to be that. Why not use the forward signings he's already made in Bowery or Helenius or is Lambert admitting that with having to bring in an unfit Championship striker that Bowery and Helenius are currently worse than Holt which is a terrible indictment of his signings.
  13. Be fair Zatman it was a few more than that.
  14. I agree, it also applies to every manager in this league. Unfortunately Aston Villa do not have the divine right to win every match in a highly competitively league. It is not at excuse at all, it is a harsh reality. Where do you expect us to be in the league? I can understand people being upset about our decline over the last four years but there needs to be some more patience shown by the fans and backing by the board. Lambert has improved us since taking over and can take us even further. Three points. You are correct in stating that we do not have a divine right to win games but two wins in thirteen and a God awful home record would suggest relegation form which is totally unacceptable for a second season in a row under Lambert. Secondly yet another attack on the fans who have not only shown patience with Lambert under extreme circumstances but since the last time we won a trophy. Thirdly Lambert's results have parity with the worst manager this club has seen and currently there is no sign whatsoever that Lambert can take us further than constant relegation battles after spending 40m plus.
  15. I have actually got to the point now where I sincerely hope we'll be judging a new manager by that time and if Lambert is given a new contract then Lerner should be tied against a pole in the centre circle of Villa Park and shot.
  16. Players, fans, and officials are to blame. Nothing at all to do with Lambert who has purchased and built this team.
  17. More interested in what the lady was saying behind him?
  18. On that performance probably the worst two teams in the Premiership right now.
  19. If we don't get a result tonight then I wonder will the contract talks continue?
  20. Exactly this. ^^ This is why i believe a new manager would get more out of what we currently have at the moment and why any transfer funding available would be spent more wisely. It is so glaringly obvious that we need more width in the team and more quality crosses into the opposing team's box. Another decent winger in to compliment Albrighton with the proviso to tuck in when needed and play with two holding midfielders as we simply don't have anyone to help us play through teams. Instead we should just go around them and not only would you see Benteke back to his best but Holt scoring a few as well.
  21. Once certain members of VT see me ('of all people') replying to your post the knives will out. However I wish to reply to your post from a different perspective than anyone else on here. You have made exactly the right decision and I'll explain why. If you had given your partner a second chance it would have been on the basis of commitment, a commitment that eventually your partner wouldn't be able to keep and he would have eventually turned that commitment into an excuse for him to cheat again or worse still to leave you and the kids he never wanted in the first place. You see from a cheat's perspective he only gave it a second chance because he didn't want to hurt you and everything was done for you and not the relationship. He would have eventually used that second chance as a stranglehold on him and a reason to run away. There are some men who, for whatever reason just cannot commit to anything. They try due to conformity but ultimately fail because they simply cannot commit. It doesn't excuse cheating and the best way is always to inform your partner before anything happens but it is the cheat's mentality that it is always someone else's fault that he has been forced into doing it. Does that make them a bad person? A bad partner/husband certainly and indeed a liar who cannot be trusted in any relationship but maybe your x partner has other redeeming features which might eventually see you both remain friends and leave you finding your perfect partner elsewhere.
  22. Agreed but some of the PMs I have received confirm that there are several who do and no I'm not telling.
