  1. Or the ref's. At least the fans can't be blamed this time.
  2. Going back to Amadores in September for two weeks. Apartments just above a man made white sanded beach and beautiful sunsets.
  3. I haven't subscribed to Sun+ but I do get the paper every day just for the welcoming smile on page three.
  4. The club will surely have to confirm or deny now?
  5. In the same way that Mcleish did, Lambert has recognised that we don't have the quality to do anything other than struggle in the Premiership and he is constantly tinkering to try and find intricate ways of getting more out of the players than their abilities will allow them. With not being backed in the transfer market again Lambert must therefore find a system to suit what he has at the club and then stick with it so the players can then be comfortable. This is why we are so inconsistent. Too much bloody tinkering which is not allowing the players to settle. It's like he is repeating the same mistakes when he first arrived trying to get players playing systems they just weren't comfortable with. Good players can always find a way of compensating for system change but we simply don't have enough good players in our team to adapt. I wouldn't be at all surprised when the players arrive for training on a Monday morning to hear them muttering under their breath 'what system will we be trying today?' It is therefore about time that the manager realises this and compensates for the lack of funding and mistakes in the transfer market by actually playing to our strengths for a change. On his day we have a world class forward who thrives on crosses. **** well implement a system that supplies those crosses and stick to that before we find ourselves in relegation trouble again.
  6. As I stated in the match thread if it had finished 1-1 no matter how we played it would have been seen as an unexpected point gained and we were only beaten by a wonder strike. That being said I was disappointed to see Lambert playing two target men up front again when past history with Bent should have made him realise by now that it simply doesn't work even if you do change the player.
  7. Why can he not stick to a settled system. Suffers way too much from a bad case of tinker-itus and that is causing us points.
  8. If we can hold on a point will be a good result for us.
  9. Yep Charlie Adam with 2. Ha,ha. Just stated it due to one or two thinking he's crap. He's proving this season that he's anything but that and we could be doing with him in our midfield. Playmaker who also scores goals. Just saying like.
  10. You're embarrassing, we're winning. Your just "result" focused. If you look at our overall game in that half, its been shit. It's called having a game plan. It's working. Everton haven't had any meaningful attacks. We're 1-0 up. I repeat, do you even understand football? Would like to see if u had the same opinion if we didnt score on our only chance in our game, and evertons hit in the bar in the start of the half went in 1) It was the post. Top comprehension kid. 2) If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle. Fact of the matter is, we're winning and that's down to a perfectly executed game plan. Everton are getting frustrated and trying to force things. It's not as if we've hung on. We've defended incredibly well and really ground out the half. If you don't want to see a defensive game plan away from home, even if it garners a result, then maybe this isn't the sport for you. Is your aunt nice?

Why didn't you just choose a single attractive female lodger which would make your present situation a bit more pleasant?
  12. If I was Hoolahan i'd tell them to stuff it because the only reason why he wasn't allowed to join us was due to a vindictive chairman which has now affected his career.
  13. Survive on the cheap. Its what I've always hoped for. I'd advise you to give it til the summer window is closed. I'm no fan of Lerner but I can understand why we wouldn't sign anyone of note in January as it's really not the time. I can't think of any good value deals that I have seen going through in this window so that shows how hard it is to sign quality long term players in January for a decent price. Hopefully things will improve in the summer and our manager will be backed properly, if not then not only can I see the fans turning on Lerner but I can also see Lambert walking as he must be getting sick of this shit as well. To be fair though the first line of your post was stated during this window with the difference being January.
  14. Kept stating that we would sign him and bitterly disappointed that we did not as he would have given us something we have been missing for some considerable time now. Not slating our own board or manager for this, rather I didn't factor in how another club could be so unprofessional and vindictive.
  15. I still have time for Fonz. He has shown more in flashes than Bowery ever could that he has ability. If you amalgamate Fonz's ability with Bowery's work rate then you would have the perfect back up striker but as we all know therein lies the problem. Would love to see a change in attitude from the player though that will allow him to realise the potential he undoubtedly has which would mean we could give Fonz a new deal and get rid of the useless Bowery.
  16. Before the premature demise of our one true ITK both he and I spoke about why Lambert would leave one rebuilding job in mid plan if you like to start another? The ITK put forward several reasons which was down to opinion more than anything else but when I persisted on that question I got the answer that no-one really knew. My opinion was and still is this. To move from one club where he was much liked by fans and board to another whose chairman won't back him in the transfer market he must nevertheless have received some sort of assurance that he would be backed in the transfer market through gutting the club of its high wage malingerers and replacing those with young hungry players or more experienced players as he saw fit. That limited financial backing has now been reduced to a tap drip. Either the chairman after another two years of poor performances has said enough is enough and refused to spend anymore through a manager he has no confidence in but can't sack him through current league placement or, which I believe more likely, our chairman wants out and has withdrawn finance in preparation to sell the club. I also believe if this is the case then Lambert would have to be kept informed of developments to stop him showing unrest in the media. This could therefore mean that a buyer for the club has already been identified with Lambert to be kept in place as manager but the sale won't take place until the summer window and Lambert's remit up until that time was and is now, to keep us in the Premiership with little or no backing in the transfer market until the sale of the club goes through. This scenario is the only one that makes sense to me. The alternative is that our chairman has reneged on those assurances to Lambert and if that is so, why hasn't Lambert walked as he has done before? If we stay up and thankfully that is looking likely even though we have generally been poor again this season then I would suggest this summer is going to be very interesting indeed.
  17. No guarantees in life Morph. Most players take a while to settle in and Palace and Fulham don't have that kind of time. Yeah mate you are right that it does take time but Palace may have enough now to stay up especially with Pulis at the helm.
  18. Crystal Palace have also strengthened and will probably now continue to improve.
  19. What makes you think we're going to do that? We might yet sign a player but if you take into consideration what our expenditure has been over the last three windows even with some of the high wages earners of the wage bill now, you can only come to one conclusion.
  20. No I'm not missing the point at all. The poster stated that we are a mid table team due to wages paid. I'm simply stating that there are several players in our squad who are on top 7 income.
  21. What sort of fees did we bring back in again with the sale of Milner, Barry and Young which should have offset those mistakes.
