  1. I really don’t want us to not do things that involve literally zero risk to anyone, just because covid. We really ought to be way, way past that in terms of how we deal with this.
  2. I see nothing wrong with that personally.
  3. Javier Baez to Detroit. 6/140. Robbie Ray to Seattle. 5/115.
  4. Texas making some BIG moves. Corey Seager at 10/325! I wanted him for the Yankees. But that is a big f***ing contract.
  5. The hot stove is about to get red hot. Talk of Max Scherzer to the Mets for 3/120. Verlander back to Houston for 2/40. Semien to Texas. Gausman to Toronto. Seager or Correa next?
  6. I’ve finally done Ted Lasso s2. I was worried the absolutely brilliant s1 would be too much to follow up. Then they’ve arguably gone and done it even better. A genuine masterpiece of a TV series.
  7. It was definitely a foul, but he had cover and you wouldn’t call it denying a clear goal scoring opportunity. It was, however, Milvojevic’s third or fourth bookable offence.
  8. Very, very, very pleased with that. Massive win for us.
  9. He is clearly some kind of genius.
  10. I was in Swansea, at the game, that day. Surreal experience.
  11. I’m all about loyalty, just read any of my posts in the Jack Grealish thread, but to question Leo Messi’s loyalty to Barcelona seems harsh even to me.
  12. I don’t think we differ much in what we see as healthy and not. I’m just skeptical, as I said, about using words like toxins to describe food.
  13. @danceoftheshamen. Thanks for typing all of that. I probably don’t agree with all/most of it, but I appreciate the effort and respectful reply. I’m generally skeptical of terms like ‘toxins’ when discussing diets and nutrition, as no food is in itself toxic. E-numbers aren’t inherently bad. Sugar, salt, fat, whatever, are all absolutely vital to our existance. If anything, I probably don’t get enough salt and could probably eat a bit more sugar too. Too much of anything is bad for you. It just varies how much too much is.
  14. Of course you can lose weight on low carb/keto. That doesn’t mean calories don’t matter.
  15. Talking specifically about food, being in a thread about diets, can you please name examples of foods that contain toxins, what those toxins are and how they negatively affect my body? If I’m inadvertently poisoning my body, I’d like to know.
  16. About 1500-2000 maybe?
  17. Yes. Plenty of excercise, running mostly. Several 10Ks/week. But diet was the key.
  18. FTFY (My before BMI was 28-ish, iirc.)
  19. Yep. That’s exactly what I did.
  20. Fat wise, it’s all still off and then some. I went from 105 kg to 85 kg. I’m 6ft4’’, so wasn’t massively overweight, but still not comfortable in my own body (I grew up playing sports every day, being just slightly fat didn’t really jive with my self perception.) I’m now 88-90 kg, but that increase is all muscle mass.
  21. @danceoftheshamen. Could you explain about these ‘toxins’? What are they and what do they do to my body?
  22. A pal of mine swears low carb is the right diet for him. Doesn’t watch his cal counts at all, but religiously watches carb %. Eats as much as he wants and, crucially, drinks as much as he wants as long as it’s a ‘low carb’ product. Even «low carb» beer and wine. Needless to say he’s not losing anywhere near what he should be losing, all because he’s lulled himself into thinking ‘low carb’ is the only thing that matters. If I remind him I lost 20 kgs in 80 days counting calories, he says he can’t count calories and it doesn’t work for him. Sure it does, you just don’t want to. It hurts, but it works.
  23. If it’s only for a couple of months temp job, I’d sacrifice two lambs and a fingernail to the football gods to see Steve Bruce managing Man United.

    Do you read?

Tried Crime and Punishment years ago and found it utterly unreadable. Won’t go near Dostoevsky again. File next to Joyce and Hamsun and run for cover.
