  1. Larsson will do some damage though our central two of Collins and Cuellar should neutralise him.. The rest though are "dangerous" if they have a good day, but if we contain them they won't pose much of a threat I don't think..
  2. As they say in the business it appears McLeish isn't **** around when it comes to this match. It's amazing how different he lines up the team when he has the chance to get one over his long time rival. Ah well, not complaining that is a side that can go out and do some work today.
  3. I wish I had the money to get the quality of ink work he's had done.. The back piece alone probably cost more than most people spend on a life time of tattoos. The art is insane though I think I need to get on the twitter and ask him who his artist of choice is.
  4. If more of us actually bet against Villa this season some of us would be pretty damn rich by now.. Yes Villa is an important part of our lives, but more important than money? No..
  5. Well towards the end of last season he was saying things like "If Houllier had stayed I'd have left".. He's just pandering to those that love him saying the things they want to hear. If someone came in for him now he'd be gone without even saying goodbye.
  6. no Ireland but Heskey :? We'd have more chance of getting goals if we played Ireland as a striker for a game.
  7. That's the ideal line up.. Zog, Ireland and Nasri.. I mean Carruthers will create so many chances. Weimann could easily get a few goals.
  8. Can't see this working to be honest. It will only take few not doing it for it to appear very diluted - and it doesn't make a great photo opporunity for the press. What about that thing they do in middle east countries - where they take a shoe off - it could be interpreted as 'take a hike alex' Shoes off, if you want him out. Shoes off, if you want him out. I like it It would be better to take along a spare shoe and throw it at the ignorant twit. Haha I was thinking that.. Imagine the look of sheer terror on his face as at let's say the 60th minute 30,000 shoes go flying his way
  9. I personally think we'll be going for a tiered system.. Back up players will be on £20-£30k a week, First team players £40-£50k a week and Key players £60k+.. We need to lower the wages of those that don't play much at all, some of the players we don't play are being paid about the same as someone that plays all season. If we lower those wages and remove some of the more overpaid MON signings we'd be able to afford a few £80k+ signings.
  10. Yeah he's probably telling them in training "pretend Villa Park is Wembley" thinking that's enough.
  11. Do your guarantees come with any sort of guarantee :-) Only that we are also guaranteed to get 2 more points this season which will keep us safe. Is that guarantee enough. I'm personally not panicking I'm just getting ready for the worst case scenario which to be fair is looking more and more possible by the week. Yes maybe Voinjama is right maybe 2 points is all we need but we have teams below us that show time and time again they can get wins from unlikely places..
  12. If you remove the win against Fulham which to be fair was an anomaly we only managed 4 points in 10 games. The win inflates that to 7 in 11 games but the fact remains is while some may believe we are due a win we've only had 2 wins in the last 15 games, 6 were draws the rest we lost.. So yeah we may stay up by drawing but who are we going to draw against? Sunderland will beat us, Bolton we'll draw, West Brom will be a draw/loss, Spurs will be a loss and Norwich could be a draw/loss.. So only one game out of 5 I'm confident the result will be a draw the rest are hit and miss but I don't see us winning any of them.
  13. What! At the expense of our clubs survival Comments like this are a bit hard to take Why? Do you prefer to watch shit? No one does, but what you are suggesting is the equivalent of playing with fire when there is little hope of rescue if something goes wrong. Yes it may turn the heat up on McLeish but if nothing gets done and we go down the only ones that get hurt are ourselves and the club.
  14. We played Carruthers ahead of him because Carruthers is better than him a lot better. If Carruthers was an Arsenal or Man United player he'd be starting week in week out..
  15. He tends to play as a winger in the reserves though he can play anywhere very comfortably.
  16. Ok so firstly getting the result out of the way it was a poor match though one we weren't going to win. Poor to lose by 4, but is its a shock? No. Just gonna focus on the good as I'll be here all day otherwise; - Lichaj was great today, he didn't really put a foot wrong and he's been that way for the past few games. - Baker was pretty good, he messed up for the second goal but despite that he was good. - Weimann was good again today, would have been more lethal had he not started on the left. - Carruthers was superb, I compare him to Nasri and Chamberlain and I saw that today the guy has a huge future. The rest of the team were between average and awful. If I was to single out anyone it would be Agbonlahor he was so bad today. He should have started on the left instead of Weimann, he's not good enough to be a lone striker anymore and I'm beginning to question if he's good enough for the Premier League. He was awful.
  17. Our youth are playing really well now.. Carruthers is a superb player.
  18. Is Gabby playing this bad on purpose so he's impossible to sell..
  19. It's becoming very apparent it would have been given had he dived..
  20. It's because Ferguson is a word removed that nurtures his bad habits..
  21. Isn't this because he needed to? This shows interest in looking after his investment rather than interest in the club. I do get the picture of him rolling his eyes and sighing followed by "they need more money?!!?".. He's not bothered about us he just doesn't want his investment tanking.
  22. I'd swap Heskey for Delfouneso as he's fit and ready for the game.. May as well give him one last chance to prove doubters wrong before shipping him off to Leeds or something.
  23. Ferguson is going to go out tomorrow and set out to win but not do anything careless. A loss to us tomorrow no matter how unlikely would put them in danger of conceding the title. We'll more than likely lose but only by 1 or 2.
  24. Here's hoping for a Swansea win at Blackburn and a West Brom win at QPR.
  25. Yeah.. I knew things were bad already but it hit me last week when I asked my Blues supporting mates why they don't take the piss out of me anymore for the team I support and they merely said. "There is nothing funny about what is happening there, we only take the piss when things are going well.. To do it now would just add insult to injury.." At that point I realised for sure we are in a very bad place. When Blues fans stop taking the piss there is something very very wrong.
