  1. We didn't even score in that game. We scored against Blackpool from a corner that same month though. Ah Blackpool.. Same starting word. Thank you for the correction,
  2. I'd have loved if he came out with.. "It was great! Though it looked more like 22,000 than 42,000"
  3. Last goal from a corner was against Blackburn in November 2010.
  4. I'd rather get relegated under Lambert playing attacking and well maintained football than get relegated under McLeish playing football that is the equivalent of an old dog laying down to die. Lambert would be great.. I didn't think about it much before as I never thought McLeish going could be a possibility but if we can bring him in.
  5. Currently playing; - Anno 2070 - Team Fortress 2 - Borderlands (co-op with mates good times) - Amnesia I like to juggle playing several games so I don't burn myself out on just one. I do complete them eventually just not as quickly as others.
  6. I have a good feeling about this game.. Said that about Stoke and pretty much every game this season but one time it has to come true right?
  7. He knows his side are not gonna win 2 of their next 5 games and if they do the chances of Blackburn, Bolton and Wigan not getting anymore points is slim. He's being very realistic..
  8. I would love to go for a drink.. I mean best case scenario he's a top lad that buys me drinks all night.. Worst case scenario he's a word removed that buys me drinks all night. Can't lose really.
  9. I don't think there will be any tears just a good few thousand angry fans running in the direction of McLeish with all manner of weapons they can pick up on the way.
  10. I can picture Lerner on the day we get relegated. Lerner: "Well done Alex! As a reward for your hard work he is a transfer balance for the next campaign of £40 million." McLeish: "I could buy three whole squads of Championship players for that." Lerner: "Really? You mean players are cheaper in the Championship? Lower wages too? Why didn't I do this earlier."
  11. Really is the only redeeming factor, that and getting our games on BBC One from time to time. Though that is merely me trying to make the best out of what will be the worst case scenario. away days at blues forest derby coventry and wolves. lots of local games to enjoy. it might not be too bad. at least we wouldn't have to watch ten men behind the ball against elite teams week in week out Oh I'm sure McLeish would find a way to make Barnsley or Forest sound like an elite team in the post match interview.
  12. I'd love to go for a pint with Stephen Ireland and Chris Herd. They remind me a lot of my mates so I think they'd be a good laugh.. The rest not so much though. I do agree in a way though that perhaps relegation will be the "reset button" we need but it is a very drastic move to take, It could work wonders for us as much as it could cripple us so much we never play in the Premier League again.. I personally hope we find our soul while still in the best league in the World though I am quickly coming to terms with a very real possibility of being a Championship team next season.

  14. So we need a 1 win and hope they don't beat us on goal difference or to get 1 win and 1 draw and be safe?
  15. For every Newcastle there is a Coventry or a Leeds.. Clubs that go down and never look like ever returning. Let's hope we are a Newcastle..
  16. Villa 2 - 1 Man U... Weimann to score both with Rooney scoring the penalty they seem to get most games against us. We'll start with N'Zogbia on the right, Carruthers on the left with Ireland and Herd in the middle, Gabby playing just behind Weimann. The back four will probably remain unchanged. Cuellar in for Hutton though if fit.
  17. Martinez is about as bad as McLeish.. Do we really want to ditch McLeish only to get another manager that is great at keeping his side in the relegation zone all season? Sure the football may be better to watch but that won't mean shit if we're in the Championship in 2013/14 season. Yes McLeish could also get us relegated but if we're gonna sack him let's go for managers a bit better than a manager that narrowly missed relegation last season as is practically guaranteed it this season.
  18. We're buying someone to replace Heskey that is the Bent and Weimann back up.. I doubt they will both get injured at the same time.
  19. He is the quintessential example of a guy that ignored school in the hope of becoming a pro footballer. He's lucky he got what he wanted as if he didn't he'd seriously be too thick for McDonalds.
  20. Weimann getting the other 4? Sounds realistic to me.
  21. I'm just getting tired of repeating the same crap over and over again.. Sure I would love him to go, but all the protests in the World are not going to change Lerner's opinion. He's very clearly not bothered what any of us think he's made that very apparent.. I just can't be bothered. If he's here next season so be it, let's hope it's better than this one but our protests aren't going to change a thing.
  22. Top 10 by Christmas next season or I'm not even going to bother making excuses for this man again. I like to believe I have been rather lenient with him.. I'll give him another 17 games + whatever we have left of this season to show me what he can do.
  23. Herd as captain for me.. The guy has guts and a fighting spirit. I have seen big bulky super manly defenders turn into a flinching mess after getting hit in the head. Herd got smashed in the head 3 times yesterday and not once apart from the last when Huth knocked him out did he flinch or back out of a challenge. He then comes on Twitter after the game and says he's just fine, the guy is tough and a fighter and we need that in a captain.
  24. Not saying i disagree but who on our team is thick as shit? Gabby mainly though the rest are thick in a footballing sense players like Bannan, Bent, Hutton etc.. They are "good" (excluding Hutton) at what they do but just don't have the brain to keep up with him. They are always in the wrong places and never on his wavelength.. Maybe they will improve the more they play with him, but some just don't get what he's trying to do. I actually think Weimann, Gardner and N'Zogbia are on his wavelength much of the time.. The link up play with Weimann yesterday proved it for me, but so many in our side just don't get him.
