  1. Do me a favour. Do you honestly believe that Lambert would let someone go who he only signed in August. £30m would be the minimum.
  2. What can we say about this man. Right....Superlatives. Outstanding, unplayable, superb, supreme, immense, and above all....AN ABSOLUTE BEAST! Benteeeeeeekers!
  3. I cannot tell you how much i love Benteke. He for me; I know it is early.....Is one of the best ever signings for us. The guy is unplayable at times. What a fantastic performance. The tactics were spot on. Our counter-attacking play is simply superb. Weimann and Bentekers are a fantastic partnership. Things are building slowly, but efficiently. 6 unbeaten now. So happy with how we are progressing. Plenty of work to do, but it is looking promising. Take that the Liverpool fan on RAWK who said 5-0 Liverpool. Hmmmm. Keep your mouth shut.
  4. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2247234/Aston-Villa-tabs-Heerenveens-prolific-hitman-Finnbogason-Bent-nears-exit.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Sounds promising. Apologies, I have forgotton how to shorten the link.
  5. Does Benteke ever have a bad game. This guy is so crucial for us. I would love to see us bring in another forward in January. I hope Lambert is thinking that way too. He really is such a menace, a handful for anyone he comes up against. Set up two and scored one himself. A real gem of a player. I must say, he and Weimann have a superb understanding....As does Gabby to be fair. Lambert is getting many things right. Holman took his goal beautifully. Great strike. Still tires too quickly for me, but he works his absolute socks off. Would love to see if he can sustain in for 90 mins. Having said that, Nzogbia was a handful when he came on. He gave us a bit of vibrancy. I would like to see him start on Saturday. It won't happen though. That's five unbeaten now, let's make it 6 at the weekend...Hopefully with 3 points in the bag; with the inbreds doing us a favour beating Wigan and Utd to give MON an absolute drubbing.
  6. Just spotted this. https://twitter.com/...5/photo/1/large Did Bent really tweet that. Seems to have disappeared from his account now. Won't please Lambert. Obviously a fake.
  7. This all day long for me. Good goal. But as a player, he is very average. His first touch is appalling. I do admire his work-rate but he tends to fade out after 45 mins once he has run himself into the ground. Lacks natural ability, but he is a decent squad player in our current situation. At least he isn't afraid to shoot I guess. I think we saw the two sides of Holman today....A neat finish and a complete fresh air shot. Crucial goal though.
  8. 'The former Norwich boss added: "Bent and [fellow striker] Christian Benteke can play together - they did against Southampton.'. I like this comment. I think it just highlights that Bent isn't working as well as he should be in training. If that is the case, Lambert has every right to not pick him. Now Bent needs to show his committment to getting back into the squad, let alone the first 11. If he can't do that, and I feel this is the case - get rid. But I would like to see the two play up top together given the chance. The ball is in Bent's court it would seem. Work hard and you don't have a future here.
  9. I absolutely love Benteke. He is such a great player and so raw as well. Has a lot to learn, but what a great signing. He is our main man. Let's just hope he is with us for many years to come. He is probably the only player I am excited to watch each week. Keep the goals coming Bentekkkkkkkers.
  10. One of the worst games of football I have ever witnessed. But a win is a win. Let's hope we can take this onto our next game as QPR are there for the taking. That will be 7 points in 9 which would be lovely and much needed. Again, Benteke was the difference. He was isolated a lot which I found very frustrating, but he worke his socks off as always, and his reward was the winning goal. Bannan had an absolute shocker. I'm sorry, I just don't rate the kid. I will get behind him, but I will not boo him when he is about to take a corner. Westwood again showed what an uncomplicated decent player he is. Bannan could learn a lot from him. Lowton again was solid. A few misplaced passes, but he was one of the better players, as he seems to be consistently. A much needed 3 points.
  11. Chill out peeps. We will win this game. We will be up for it. I can see us scoring from a few set pieces. I just hope big Ron is back. 3-1.
  12. I thought people would have learnt how Lambert operates by now. He has a very dry sense of humour. His response doesn't mean anything...I cannot see us being in for Keane in January. I just don't see it.
  13. This guy is a real find. He has such a bright future. He can pick a pass, has great positional awareness and a tremendous understanding of the game. He loves to pick pockets of space, and is always looking to move the ball forward. I am so excited by this kid. He looks so comfortable. A potential captain in the future......Not yet obviously, but Lambert certainly knows how to spot hidden talents. I would take Westwood over Allen everyday of the week. Pundits seem to rate players on their transfer fee value now....No contest for me. Westwood is quality. He will only get better.
  14. A brilliant performance. Our work ethic is fantastic. The only qualm I have is that we seem to tire with 25 mins to go.....Having said that, this is obviously being worked at in training and our fitness levels and energy is improving. Great tactics today. Spot on. It stopped Arsenal's creative players dominating the flow of the game. Just require that little bit of cutting edge in front of goal, but it will come. A massive, massive game on Tuesday. If we can get 3 points, that will really pull us away. I have no concerns if we play the same way on Tuesday, that we will get the 3 points we need. A few stand out players. As usual, Matt Lowton continues to impress. The guy takes everything in his stride, nothing phases him. He has been a great buy. Westwood also looks very promising.Very composed on the ball...He finds those little pockets of space in the middle. His game awareness is excellent, and his positioning and distribution is superb. He can certinly pick a pass. Great little player.Excited about him. The same can't be said of KEA. To me, he looks very uncomfortable. Maybe the pace of the Premier League has suprised him and he needs more time to adapt. I don't ever feel assured when he has the ball at his feet. Hopefully, he will turn a corner though. Shame about big Ron going off. Firstly, because Fantasy Football decided I wasn't entitled to a clean sheet and more importanly....We need him fit for Tuesday. The injuries are certainly stacking up. But, we are hanging in there. A cluster of difficult fixtures out the way. Now it is crucial to get some momentum. Just a shame Holman's strike didn't go under the ball......We are due a bit of luck. A decent point to build on...Hopefully.
  15. I think we'll win this. We are due a bit of luck as well. First goal is key though.....or in our case, the first three goals. lol Villa win 3-1
  16. Linesman made two shocking decisions. But, let's be honest.....The rout was coming before then. First goal just before half time was crucial. Goal difference has really taken a battering today......Add Saints and Reading winning, and it has been a pretty awful weekend. Time to get smashed and forget this ever happened. Could really do with a positive result against Arsenal with games against QPR and Reading coming up. It would appear that QPR will no doubt have a new manager or a caretaker manager to impress once Hughes is given the chop......Let's hope they don't impress too much. Worrying times, but the result was expected. Just not to scoreline. We have a young side, which is great. They showed plenty of spirit, but once we concede one goal; you can just tell the floodgates are open for plenty more...
  17. Stewart Downing and his representatives meeting David Moyes in town. Looks like he's off to Everton... pic.twitter.com/WHTVHdn0 Retweeted by
  18. You seem to be very adament and persistent on this very point. I have seen you state he should be an impact sub on several occasions now. I would have said the same before we saw enough of him, but come on...The guy is our main threat and causes havoc to defenders. HE HAS TO PLAY.
  19. Be positive guys. This match is going to be extremely difficult....Completely different to the Capital One tie. However, where City have looked vulnerable this season on many occasions has been their inability in dealing with set pieces....That being said, as have we. But - we have Benteke. He will give Kompany and Co all sorts of problems. We will give a good account of ourselves and I honestly can see us getting at least a point from this game. I am going to go for a entertaining 2-2 draw. Benteke double bubble!
  20. This guy really is a beast. He is such a find from Lambert. Going to be a terrific player. Quote from Didi Hamann‏@DietmarHamann Benteke is some find the boy will go places as complete a forward as I've seen in a long time. I am really excited about this guy. I would like us to bring in a few more like him in January.
  21. That is brilliant. He is the worst of the lot. The reason why the majority of what he has said in the past is right, is because he takes credit for things that have already been documented as FACT. Otherwise, he just makes it up as he goes along. He even said as much months ago. It was set up as a joke. Was even mentioned that he is a 15 year old kid.
  22. But if we signed him and he performed well, he may move on to pastures new.....
  23. I had a crazy dream last night that we won 3-1 and Van Persie got sent off for a two-footed lunge on Gabby. I am hoping that dreams can come true sometimes
