  1. What a joker this clown is! Transfer ITK‏@ITK_TRANSFER Hearing that Ron Vlaars medical didnt go smoothly. Something to do with his knee. Lambert considering his options. #avfc
  2. Have I missed something? I haven't seen any solid links to him yet apart from the bullshitter ITK_Transfer. I hope we do get him, but it is hardly 'looking likely.'
  3. It was done apparently - so ITK transfer said. Things can change.
  4. He knows his stuff. Anyone would think he was a member of VT.
  5. Just goes to show how gullible people really are.. He actually hasn't predicted one thing right on his own....And he must have come out with over 500 transfers. Comical.
  6. Apparently Vlaar is signing tomorrow according to the ever reliable itk_transfer on twitter. I do always wonder where he get's his info from. He is spot on. :winkold:
  7. Just to confirm officially. Aston Villa FC‏@AVFCOfficial Villa agree personal terms with Dutch defender Ron Vlaar. http://bit.ly/SXC8bY #AVFC
  8. Super talented, but lost his way due to injury, beer, gambling and pies! What a huge waste of talent , such a shame.. Just hope Adam Johnson doesn't end up the same. Why, because he has the same surname. :winkold:
  9. ITK_Transfer has now confirmed it....It must be true. I have no idea where he gets his info from. :winkold:
  10. Yeah, the way it was written almost seems like it is a done deal. I am not going to get too carried away just yet...But, let's hope this is true. Surely that would be 80k + off the wage bill.
  11. Vlaar Update The transfer of Ron Vlaar to Aston Villa are still in a deadlock. Technical director Martin van Geel has indicated that no English club has been contacted and is surprised about the conduct of The Villans. "We are awaiting. We do not contact them. We'd rather call them, because that means that Ron remains at Feyenoord. He is a great player," Van Geel against Eredivisie Live. The technical director requires clarity of the Premier League club. "We would now like to know how it is." Vlaar was last weekend at the invitation of the British guests at Villa Park, but then remained silent. Earlier also spoke coach Ronald Koeman already annoyance. "I want to gradually got to know where I stand," he told the AD. "It is fun when you invite a player and give him a positive feeling, but it seems to me that you transfer directly then completes that player if you really want. He is not so expensive. " Vlaar is with Feyenoord until 2014 fixed, but can leave for a limited transfer fee.
  12. Mat Kendrick said on web chat...'it might not take place until another defender leaves'
  13. Agreed, which is why i would definitely welcome another winger please.
  14. Simpson wants to come to us? That's another player. This is getting good. What about Lowton though, unless he is going to be used as a versatile player.
  15. Terry better not be reading this forum...........Vlaar's gonna get you, Vlaar's gonna get you!
  16. Noone can be as slow as Mertesacker.......
  17. Let's hope Paul Merson isn't commentating on many of our games this season.....What with Vlaar, & El Ahmadi; he would have a nightmare...He finds it hard enough pronouncing Agbonlahor.......Anyone remember his Walcott pronunciation..
  18. Make that NO SUCCESS rate. Conveniently, he went offline when he got so many wrong & now he has suddenly resurfaced after activity. Been on hols apparently. lol
  19. This. Surely in a squad of 25 you want two for each position? That would mean four wingers total (two for each wing), at the moment we only have three. Definitely. I cannot understand how people could even think we have adequate cover. Ok, Carruthers may be given a chance. Hardly proven though. Then we have Nzogbia, a new signing in Holman & Albrighton expected to be out a while. Definitely need one more.
  20. I would have said we needed one more winger anyway, even before Albrighton got injured. I would be a little disappointed if one more wide player wasn't brought in.
  21. A fair assumption. I think what he lacks in pace, he makes up for in trickery. Whether he can make the step up remains to be seen. But like any player in the Championship, it is always going to be a gamble. You have to be willing to take that risk, & if Lambert believes he can take us forward, I will back his judgement. One thing I will say on Snodgrass, he loves a nutmeg. He also likes to twist and turn players inside out, with the drag back being one of his main assets. If we are in for him though, I do hope it is not for anything over £4m especially as he is in the last year of his contract and still unproven at the top level.
