Pako is a very good appointment if true. He speaks better English than Unai currently and can help the communication barrier between the manager and British players. He is also a high level assistant manager..

It is evident that not all of our players will blossom under this new regime. If it means that the player is surplus to requirements due to a learning gap and fitting into a system then so be it.. The manager needs to be backed by everyone involved with the club. It will be interesting to see who will rise and who will fall in the coming months..

My main concern is that if we do this slow build up playing stuff at Villa Park, our own team will get booed. Villa park love direct, high tempo football. I have witnessed many times our team being booed when we pass the ball around keeping possession.

We need a manager that can have us playing high tempo football using with width. We don’t need the slow possession build up play here. That is not the Villa way.. EDIT Hopefully this performance and result has made us look more attractive to the higher calibre managers..

Dyche has rejected an offer from Bournemouth.. Which is odd because it is a potentially good opportunity for him.. I think that he is holding out for this job. I also think that we are interested, mainly because of what West Ham have achieved with a pragmatic manager.. Dyche with a budget would make us extremely difficult at Villa park. I would also say that Burnley had an extremely low budget and brought players of a specific identity.

Amorim would need a lot of patience here.. Are Villa fans prepared to be patient with this coach? Similar to Arteta in terms of age and perhaps coaching ability but have contrasting playing styles.. Amorim coming to Villa would be a real long term project..
