The next thing they see is us signing Bramble - I'll look a joke!! How pathetic is it that a small yellow bar on SSN during the sumer can get you so excited like a little kid who's just been allowed his favourite toy from Woolworths!! Haha. Up the Villa! o'malley Posted May 31, 2007 Share Posted May 31, 2007 finnan would be an excellent signing for the next couple of seasons. an improvement on what we've got and it'd give us time to get a long term successor (contrary to what some seem to think, we are not going to be buying our entire team for the next 5 years this summer!). be surprised if liverpool let him go, but if they are getting alves or someone, he may not want to be backup at this stage in his career. But as i said his a good player. I'd say that depends on the player and their attributes. If you're a centre-half then you rely more on experience than anything and are probably at your best in your early thirties. Same for goalkeepers. If you're Shaun Wright-Phillips, Aaron Lennon or (dare I say it) Gabby Agbonlahor and rely on blistering pace over other attributes then your peak is probably in your early twenties.
