I think we need a couple of wide specialist midfielders rather than Gabby & Weimann (which is what you are saying i think) - although I wonder if they could adapt to the position If not I'm not sure what their future at VP is - back up to Benteke? If Lerner sees that we're in trouble, which he should, then perhaps he will stretch the purse strings in the knowledge that a fair few of these fringe players will be off in the summer. But if that is the case, then we should probably prepare ourselves to a summer similar to the one when Downing & Young left, with only a fraction of the money re-invested back into the playing squad. You know 'Shillzz' i actually would accept little or no transfer activity in the summer if it meant us spending our whole budget now to get us away from the trap door although i think the increase in TV revenue kicks in at the end of the season so that might help. I think weimman has great movement in the box and is a good finisher so I'd hate for his potential to be wasted and his game changed just to fit him out wide. I thought in the summer we were desperate for a quality wide player and now i think it should be a priority in January. We need to improve in the final 3rd and this sort of player will help that.
