General Krulak here:

1. Absolutely cameras are allowed!! Should be some great opportunites. If you see me, let's get one together.

2. The Browns draft should say tell you all a great deal about Randy. The move to get Brady Quinn was a gutsy one...but could pay off in spades. Randy is a gamer.

Indeed, I have seen that we have given away our 1st pick for 2008 but we need a good team now for building a significantly better team in the future. Some expert on NFL.com say that we were the best drafters along with Carolina, Atlanta, and Indianapolis. Hopefully the football experts will be saying the same about Villa this summer!

My ticket is for 2-3pm, I will come and say hello if I see you there General, or infact if I see you on Friday night. Will Sir Randy be attending on Friday night?

Dear General

I just want to point out that the official website of Aston Villa is totally wack. I see teams like Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd all have official .com addresses and they are not part of this premium TV deal.

Will we go on to get an astonvilla.com or something else worth visiting because what we have now is.... well..... not worth visiting.

The General has responded to this a couple of times already. The OS is known to require a re-work and will be addressed

General,

Now that birmingham are promoted, are we going to be ripped off yet again with £40 tickets to watch Villa at st andrews. If i remember correctly the Villa fixtures were charged at under £30 per ticket. The blues tried the same stunt with west bromwich albion, they refused to take any tickets and blues backed down and gave them normal prices. This exploitation has made my blood boil in the past, can something be done about it for the future. Thanks.

1. Scarves. We anticipate having approximately 2500 scarves after we give them out at the Sheff Utd game. We are currently thinking through the best way to distribute those scarves...the most fair and impartial manner. Competition is an interesting thought but who has the time to read all the essays??? Nicky Keye will be asked to "brainstorm" some ideas.

Hi General,

I suggest you send out to the continental fan clubs, to the fans that do not have a chance to get to the game - as much as we would like to.

General,

There is nothing better than traveling away to support the villa. After driving back home from a long journey I'm always safe in the knowledge that I'll be greeted by the most beautiful buildings in the midlands and especially after a fantastic performance and away win like Saturday coming off the M6 and seeing the stadium is a great feeling. The view from the Aston expressway and the M6 is spectacular although i noticed last Saturday that i could hardly see the stadium as it was quite dark and there were no lights anywhere on the stadium. I'm not suggesting we leave the flood lights on 24/7 so Villa Park looks like a las Vegas casino but perhaps the ASTON VILLA FOOTBALL CLUB on the Doug Ellis stand could be illuminated so that whatever hour you enter the city visitor or resident you will see that AVFC is the Pride of Birmingham.

Thanks again to all the team you are amazing. Also there is someone who has defiantly earned their wage this year and i really hope Barry receives some recognition for his service this season. A true professional that week in week out has performed and in my opinion carried the team for the majority of the season as much of a hero as randy or martin if not more! Maybe next year when you buy a new nike shirt Barry could be printed on the back for free? Don't have any reason for that just the name i will be getting on the back of mine!

Cheers general

General Krulak here:

1. We are working right now on illuminating the stadium so that it can be seen from the freeway. It will not be "all lights on" but, rather, an illumination of our proud name.

2. Let's see, people don't like our web site????????? Got it!! We are working to improve it.

3. I look forward to the Derby...very much!! I will wear a helmet and flak jacket and hope for the best. We do have similar rivalries in the US. Leviramsey was correct on two of the great rivalries...Army-Navy and Exeter-Andover. From the sound of the Derby, it may even be bigger than those two. Regarding ticket prices...I am sure that Richard Fitzgerald will do all in his power to make them fair.

4. Picking Brady Quinn was a good move....both from a football standpoint and a economic one. We can pretty much see what will be in the draft next year...and we can estimate our draft point...we think this was a good move.

5. I will pass on the idea that came out of the visit to Sporting Lisbon.

Last weekend I went to watch Sporting Lisbon. I noticed a couple of interesting things. Firstly they had a massive poster right on the side of their stadium which basically had an electronic tally of tickets that were sold for that game. I think the poster translated to something like, "Are you going to stay outside or join every one else inside and get behind Sporting?"

Also when I tried to buy refreshments inside the stadium, you had to buy a card/voucher (of various amounts) and then use that to pay for your items. This would firstly stop people handling as much cash as there would be only a select few people who sell the cards, also people may leave money on the cards and therefore the club may make some extra profit as away fans will obviously throw them after the game.

It could be operated much in the same way as an Oyster card ie, you top up over the phone, on line or via some machines/agents. Then with just a swipe of the card you have paid.

It sounds like a very good idea to me.

General,

I sat watching the draft this weekend, Brady Quinn seems like our Ian Taylor, the photo of him in a Browns kit aged 4 was great.

But your third pick.... The Nutter! does that mean Randy doesn't mind players with a couple of screws lose as long as the do their Real Job? in other words is Craig Bellamy coming in the summer?

Oh and General, have you had Cod and Chips from the Chippy next to Witton Station yet? its a heart attack in a bag... but my god, its great! (not on Match Days)

A small question about the individual photos of the players in the villa shop. Would it be possible next season to have a pack that contained all the team that you could purchase? At the moment they are all sold seperately. Thats fine but it would be nice to be able to buy the complete set all together.

General Krulak here:

1. Motorway...sorry, my language from the Colonies tripped me up.

2. Quinn is a good lad...lots of character and leadership. Played for a superb college team...started all 4 years. Each lad we pick goes thru screening to ensure we don't get a nut case or criminal...all our selections were ok. Yes, we have a few characters but...they will be fine.

3. As most of you know, Randy tries to make every game...and has not missed many. Likewise the Board. We are Villa Fans through and through.

4. I will check on the photos and see why they are sold as they are sold.

Having just about completed Aston's 'team' for this season I feel I can help you there. It's to maximise the profit £1 each player!!! I think the club saw it as a way of getting the juniors to use their pocket money (weekly allowance) each time they came to a game.

General, I think it would be useful for away fans to have more information regarding transport to Villa Park available at New Street station - I guess its low on the list of priorities, but I'd appreciate it if the boot was on the other foot.

General, with teh redevlopment of the holte Pub and suite and the other numerous suites around VP can I make a suggestion

For the blooz away game next year I ould love to watch it with a pint BUT in pubs it can be a dangerous thing to do with the unwashed.

therefore I am sure we could feed it back to VP and enjoy a pint at the same time in villa surrondings.

Another Idea General.

Terry Weir is probably the most respected non player at Villa Par ever

not sure what you know fo Terry but he has a vast array of photographs and a fitting tribute is to hold an exhibition of his photos over the summer

General, glad you are looking forward to the derby games. I will be honest and state that I know nothing of the Army-Navy and Exeter/Andover affairs but I think it would be fair to say you will find it quite an experience. You have doubtless divined already what we think of our unillustrious neighbours and if they were capable of higher thought processes they would think the same.

General, sorry if this has been bought up before but i've just read THIS ARTICLE & was wondering if it was true or not? Also just wondering if you've seen next seasons goalkeeper kit & if it's possible to tell us any info? If you'd rather not then it's ok. :)
