villarule123 Posted August 1, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted August 1, 2012 The badminton situation is a disgrace and I was amazed that the board have made the great decision of disqualifying them all. If only other sports did this. Wiggins is about to confirm the best 3 weeks of his life...
Stevo985 Posted August 1, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted August 1, 2012 Importantly, Froome is about 40 seconds haead of 4th place. Healthy buffer. Coul dbe on for 2 podiums if they keep it going

briggaman
Magical stuff from Wiggins and there's that second gold of the day. It does indeed look like we could be on for three golds with the swimming still to come.

LondonLax
SPOTY by any chance? And wasn't it Cavendish last year as well?
briggaman
SPOTY by any chance? Lineker just said this on Twitter too. Surely there should be no doubt that he'll get the award as he fully deserves it. Plus a knighthood no doubt.
Stevo985 Posted August 1, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted August 1, 2012 I'd say the only thing against him in the SPOTY is the fact that, as LL says, it was a cyclist last year as well. But I don't think that's nearly a big enough negative to stop him getting it. Unless we see something else really special at the rest of the games I'd imagine he'll walk it. coda
I'll be happy as long as it's not Zara Phillips for SPOTY again.
