The_Rev
Gone to the great Gold Run in the sky, aged 83. I didnt think he was as old as that. Loved the bloke just for putting up with all the "I'll have a P please Bob" and "I'll take an E please Bob" gags that the students on Blockbusters made every week. Wasnt he the first bloke to ever play James Bond too?
Rodders
surprised he wasn't older, I remember him already being " a really really old person" when I watched it as a kid, in hindsight he must have only been about 60 then. 2nd ever bond - radio version of moonraker, he says having just skimmed the bbc article

sharkyvilla
Mainly famous for not playing the sax solo on "Baker Street". Haha I loved that urban myth. It was so proposterous that it became believable! Weirdly the other day I was watching a BBC news round-up of people who died in 2011 and the bloke who wrote Baker Street was on it for being dead and it mentioned the Bob Holness/sax thing. Very sad news although Ed Milliband's slip up made me piss myself.
The_Rev
Gets my vote for the best thread title ever. RIP Bob. I saw a What "D" is Bob Holness? on Facebook earlier, which I have to admit would have been superior. RIP Bob.
