Rooney should not be called up for Euros. As he will probably get a 2 match ban and would be a waste of squad space as they will more than likely be exiting at group stage. As seedings are tighter for this tournament and groups are usually more closer

I know he's a liability but we won't be dropping our best player. Can see it only being a one match ban as Uefa want the star players at the tournament. Money talks.

Mate was looking good for a £770 win, then England **** it up. All he would've needed to come through were USA vs Honduras, and Charlton and Sheff Wednesday to win today.

Oh, and terrible defending, could see the equaliser coming from a mile away.

Arshavin got a 2 match ban for last Euros for similar incident vs Andorra

well reality is England will probably be 3rd seed if they go on previous tournaments if all qualify

Seed 1. Spain, Ukraine, Poland Germany

Seed 2. Holland, Italy, Portugal, Greece

Seed 3. France, England, Croatia, Russia

Seed 4. play off winners as none have much euros pedigree in recent years

rooney is about the only player we have - or one of about 3 - who would give us half a chance of winning ( ) so if we don't take him, we might as well not bother. We've got enough to scrape by in the group stages.

Marc Albrighton wouldn't count as he's from Tamworth.

Tamworth is a Birmingham post code area..........

But it's still not in Birmingham...

We got further than Italy, Greece and France at the last World Cup.

Italy and France both finished bottom of their group.

Never seen anything he's done in an England shirt to suggest that. Personally, i dont think he gives a shit when he dons the England shirt..but thats just me.

Anyway, must confess I refuse to watch England after the piss take of that world cup. Full of kuntz. Dont give a shit anymore that they never win anything.

(yes i'm English despite my location)
