LancsVillan Posted February 16, 2006 Moderator Posted February 16, 2006 OK then to resolve something I've seen in the JG to Hungary thread What does everyone call the six pieces you need to get before returning to the middle of the board to claim victory in Trivial Pursuit? EDIT LV - changed pieces to wedges
Risso Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 It's cheeses, although wedges are also used I think, and should be added to the poll!
tonyh29 Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 cheeses as my learned friend has already pointed out ..but he did only get 4 B's so he isn't always right :-)
Richard Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Voted Pieces, would have gone for wedge if that was an option
Jon Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 i'm cheesey too. dunno why, as wedges would be more sensible. i think it's to do with the way cheese used to be made and then cut into wedges of cheese?

drat01 Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Its wedge according to the rules - its cheese for the hip and trendy types - some may get the irony

tonyh29 Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 some may get the irony Yeah, it's like goldy and bronzy, only it's made of iron.
Risso Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 cheeses as my learned friend has already pointed out ..but he did only get 4 B's so he isn't always right :-) And one of those was general studies  . Which was basically an A Level in Trivial Pursuit and pub quizzes anyway!
Wurzel Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 You bunch of freaks! its obviously wedges as cheese is made out of mouldy milk.

The_Rev Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Its a Wedge. So you can do the "give me a wedgie please" gag every time you win one.
