Nayson, in case you find yourself a bit bored ingame, can you look out for a rl mate of mine, "Halodarkstar", who has rolled a Warlock on our server, and is a little confused about what spec, and what gear he needs. I simply dont know much about warlocks, but rather than introduce him to the world of warcraft forums, if you see him, could you as TM's uber Warlock, give him a push in the right direction?

Cheers.

He is about l24 now. Has a 40 somehting sruid on another server, but unlike Ahmed, saw the light of Rolling Horde on Tarren Mill.............

cheers.

What at a low level does a lock need? MAinly Int and Spi? Or Sta as well?

Short answer as im in a cybercafe in London, so a brief guide to imbaness:

1] stats.

At lower levels you put equal priority on INT and STA. Never SPI. Ever. "of the Eagle" are the lowbie greens of choice.

From 45-50 onwards, its spellpower, stamina, intellect (in that order) especially for Affliction and Demon specs. Destruction has a higher focus on intellect and +crit, but i think you need to be at least level 60 to have any real power.

2] Talents.

Affliction is gold for levelling. Its great for endgame too. High DPS, low downtime. Burst damage is weak, especially at lower levels. Doesnt matter.

You can hide behind a Voidwalker, dot and wand you way to level 40 if you want. Its dull, but its effective.

Personally i like being the tank and have my pet as a mana battery or as DPS. Get improved corruption, fel concentration, improved drain soul, siphon life and a few other goodies in the affliction tree and load up dots, send in pet and hit drain life and drain soul. You should never run out of mana and you should heal yourself as much damage as you take. Its a total duracell bunny build which for a caster is quite unique.

Tell him to whisper me ingame if he has any questions. I dont mind giving bad advice!

Cos you get to play with all the people who post on VT! (me, ED, Risso, Juju, D1, Limpid, Trl, Sam, IrishJay, Craig, etc etc)

You get help on difficult quests.

You might even get a bit of gold threw your way.

If Alliance give you any shit, rest assured they will be killed and mercilessly corpse camped.

Impressive^^

BTW my laladin is now a fully fledged Herb/Alch, do you recommend specialising in transmutes? Also have you got a quick guide of where to grab all the recipes (have all the trainer bought ones are the rest simply from faction quartermasters?)

ooh and I discovered a flask already

TBH whatever you do, dont go into potion mastery. If you want money do trans or elixirs, prob trans though. I feel totally ripped off from potion mastery. Havent discovered one recipe yet, and is impossible to make money on it. Adding to that, flasks only procs on elixir mastery and not potion, even though its not an elixir... its a FLASK. **** stupid Blizzard.

Its like everything i touch with the Priest is poo, and everything with the Warlock is ment to be. I never get loot i need on the priest, i always do the the lock. Ive got better, and working profs, and i can actually make money... huzzah

Elixir Mastery procs way more then Potion Mastery aswell. Gave Arcasis mats for 20 elixirs, he gave me 30 back. I made myself 26 Super Mana Potions, ended up with 29.

Thats just a random thing though Tarj.

I had the mats for 20 elixirs of shadow power the other day, i made 22!

Dan, just specialise in the profession you think you will use the most. If you chug lots of mana pots, go pot master. If you prefer healing elixirs, go healing. I think the arse has fallen out of the transmutes market as most people who needed them for tailoring (etc) have already made the stuff they wanted.

Meh. Only reason ive kept Pot Mastery is my sad addiction to mana pots. If i were you id pick transmutes. Having 5 Primal Mights proc at once > everything

Seriously, i need a new laptop.

And yes Ahamaad. WoW is dangerous that way, you plan to spend 2 hours on the PC, and suddenly its gone 6 hours.

Anyone finding that they are playing late into the night and therefore struggling at work the next day?

:D

It happens alot.

Working from home is a bitch sometimes too. "Oh, I'll just check the AH and then log" you say and before you know it you've done 12 quests and 7 BG's.

They don't call it 'World of Warcrack' for nothing.
