T-Dog
I recently brought my first (second, but she took the first one, I'm over it, calm down, it was ten years ago) house. I ask this genuinely - where should a hoover live? Is there a hoover cupboard? I don't have one. Where do you keep your main, indoor bin? Where do you store recycling when it's done? Carrier bags? - Drawer? Cupboard? Fussy little swines. Tea towels - Currently in action, where do they go? Waiting for the call up? Currently rolled up in a big bottom (KW) drawer. Be interested to hear how the rest of the crew sort their houses. Please share. But particularly the hoover.

Main bin is in the kitchen. Recycling is in the garage. Carrier bags are in a bag in the garage. When it is full it will go to Tescos. Tea Towels. Second drawer down in the kitchen. See - Got three hoovers, one corded bad boy, she's getting old and ain't really doing the business any more. She resides under the stairs, but she's an ugly looking girl with no door or cover in that space. Are your 'Under Stairs' maintained with a door? Also have a little cordless hoover in the bedroom, not a sexual thing before that starts, just like to have a regular spruce around in case there's treacles coming round. (And also, diagnosed OCD sort of helps) Main bin is in the kitchen. One bin for everything? As a nip, I'm sure we had a food waste bin which was literally a bucket of rotting sludge for a week until it got picked up. Is that normal? Recycling is in the garage. That makes sense to me. Don't have a garage, do have a verandah (sp) - nice place to drop the recycling Carrier bags are in a bag in the garage. When it is full it will go to Tescos Genuine Q - do you remember they're there when you go shopping? And when you say 'when it's full' - do they buy them back? Tea Towels. Second drawer down in the kitchen. I've just relegated mine to third drawer, they were getting in the way of the slotted spoon and the garlic press. Thanks for sharing - genuinely think this shit is fascinating.

Yes, I've found my mark - Spare rooms are both amazing and also an admin nightmare.
chrisp65
Vacuum is in the purpose built vacuum and broom cupboard between kitchen and hall. Out of site, but handy. Recycling here is the Sunak worrying 7 bin variant. We have a stack of stacking bins under the worktop, closest to the back door.

T-Dog
Is a designated vacuum space a real thing? Do you have a 'cable' drawer? How many glasses and cups do you own?
choffer Posted June 23 VT Supporter Share Posted June 23 Which one? Handheld nailed to the wall by the front door. Robovac under a console table in the hallway. Heavy duty shark in the cupboard under the stairs. Given how small my flat is, it does feel like one would suffice.

T-Dog
Right, when we're saying under the stairs, show me what we dealing with pls. If my hoover was 12 inches to the left, it'd be in my kitchen.
