Popular Post Demitri_C
I couldnt believe we dont have a thread for our number two good old pako!! He came highly rated before coming over with emery and maybe we havent given him as much credit as he deserves. He has a reputation as one of the best coaches out there for fitness. I have to say this is one of the fittest villa sides ive seen in years. Under gerrard our stats were some of the worst in terms of running and how much was covered. Our fitness looked poor. I think pakos been abit of a unsung hero here. him and unai certainly are the dream team for us. I think he has been a big upgrade on mccalister and Shakespeare (the latter i expected big improvements from
skarroki
I was now years old when I found out our assistant managers name which is always a good sign that you've got a good manager.

I remember when we were appoointing gerrard and we were all getting excited about beale coming. Id argue ayestaran is by far a better coach. All you need to look at how much we have improved in most areas of the pitch
MWARLEY2
Beale is a decent coach . Pako has the years and the trophies . But do not underestimate Villaneuva (sic) . He has been alongside Emery since the Valencia days
Popular Post burchy
I think how much timber McGinn is carrying at any given time should point to how good our fitness coaches are. The McGinn Scale. He looks as for as a butchers dog at present so hats off to Pako and the team 6

Popular Post RadioTom
I was watching the Newcastle game today, and that absolute f***womble who’s Howe’s no. 2. It reminded me how lucky we are to have someone who complements Unai perfectly, who isn’t all about the limelight, and just goes about his business to improve us as a team. Pako doesn’t get enough credit.

HalfTimePost
Didn't realise Paco was our number 2 tbh he was the brains behind Rafa Benitez's time at Liverpool. Good appointment that we made at some point

Tom13
He doesn't know it all though https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/295473-steven-gerrard-pako-ayestaran-liverpool Quote Steven Gerrard is blessed with both the personal and professional qualities needed to develop into a top manager, according to his former coach Pako Ayestaran.
Tom13
Actually I take it back. The quotes don't really reflect the clickbaity title/open para. Quote Now, I don't know him as a manager, but he has to try and put into practice the things he's trying to learn [and] make mistakes, because it's the only way you can improve. skarroki
Someone not mentioned when the communication thing with Emery is brought up as a cheap shot. This guy is fluent in English and has been a manager for years, hundreds of games of experience, but is now dishing out the orders that Emery wants. He knows how to do it, he knows how to coach, he knows how to handle egos. If he can work on a training field with Jamie Carraghet for more than a day without giving him a black eye he has all of my respect.
