Tegis Posted November 4, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 4, 2013 (edited) Anyone else watch South African EFC on extreme? Nowhere near the grand production levels of UFC but still some good tear ups. Not seen EFC in particular but I do like watching the smaller shows. Especially the ones Michael Schiavello does the commentary for, he's hilarious. (XFC, Legacy FC, MFC, RFA, WSOF, more or less the ones on axsTV in the states) Edited November 4, 2013 by Tegis
Tegis Posted November 7, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 7, 2013 Some good KO's yesterday. But damn the US slobber over their military.
hogso
Great, great night of fights, top to bottom. Bermudez/Siler and Rivera/Roop both great fights on the undercard, topped by the weird end to the Green/Krause fight, Chiesa's trip/throw/slam was sick, great transition for the sub as well, Khabilov quickly becoming one of faves, Romero looked great, and a nice KO by Kennedy in the main event. Can't remember when I last enjoyed so much of a card as that one!
hogso
What a night of finishes that was! Also really excited by the news of a European Fight Night 'series' next year, following the model for the Brazilian fight Night events. Should be great. Tegis Posted November 10, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 10, 2013 Some beautiful and some absolutely brutal finishes. I really thought Stevens killed Jason. Transition form kimura to straight armbar. EPIC Hendo is not supposed to be KOed, Belforts first uppercut send him airborne Then the headkick, yikes Another russian, they're taking over Beautiful knees at work, first Thatch and then Fejao. Opponents tapping to strikes. The Thatch one is perfect. Right to the liver.
Nigel Posted November 11, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 11, 2013 Thatch looked good, one to watch definitely. As for the Russian, that was the strangest looking knock out since Silva floored Forrest. The angles looked all wrong for such a power punch. That man must have some power! Nigel Posted November 16, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 16, 2013 £50 double on Silva (Next month) and GSP tonight. It will be difficult staying away from that punch but if it goes to the floor then my money is safe.
Tegis Posted November 16, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 16, 2013 Brave bet. 5 rounds vs one big left I just hope Lawler knocks the living crap out of Rory.
flamingsombrero
Hmm, a decent number of MMA journo's seem very puzzled by Bagautinov being the outsider in his undercard fight against Elliott. Think I might entrust a few quid to their judgement.

samjp26
Wow, Hendricks was robbed last night! GSP's face is a mess even after stitches:
flamingsombrero
10 point must system robbed Hendricks rather than bad judging IMO. I had it 3-2 Hendricks (and obviously he took the fight as a whole) but even though I don't agree personally, round by round, I can see how GSP could have got given 1,3 and 5. samjp26
Yeah I see what you mean and I can see how GSP 'could' have got given those rounds, but for me Hendricks clearly won the fight. Wouldn't surprise me if it all ties in to a rematch for GSP's last fight. $$$

Davkaus
It's another American bastardisation of English. Tegis Posted November 17, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 17, 2013 I just hope Lawler knocks the living crap out of Rory. Beautiful! Split decision my rosy behind.
hogso
Mike said it. Not sure bout Joe. Didn't agree with the decision, but as already said, it was 'one of those'
Nigel Posted November 18, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 18, 2013 Judging was baffling TBH. Lawler and Hendricks seemed to have cruised to victory. Quite glad of the later though!!! As for the show itself, it was a great night for Fertitta and White.
