coda
Don't get the love for Captain Phillips. It's a good, solid film but nothing spectacular. I'd put Wolf of Wall Street and Her, which don't seem to be on there, ahead of it. 12 Years a Slave would get my vote. Who votes for these anyway, is it a load of old duffers like the Oscars? villa4europe
which is worse - hanks' oscar snub or Matthew McConaughey's snub tonight? think mcconaughey will win the oscar personally also think 12 years a slave could do really well tonight if theres a british bias, fassbender vs leto will be interesting

donnie
It really is outrageous that Her was not nominated for this or the Oscar's. Barkhad Abdi winning best supporting actor?!?! Strange, strange decision. Fassbender or bruhl, even bradley cooper were far more deserving. Im glad steve mcqueen won best director however. Any of 12 years a slave, wolf of wall street or dallas buyers club are all deserving winners.

Rodders
jennifer lawrence thoroughly deserved best supporting actress for american hustle, although sally hawkins in blue jasmine and lupita n'yongo were also strong performances too. Really think Gravity has won too many awards. Visually and technically very impressive, but best film? Nah.
