I could have stayed in Brum for the weekend!  :)

It'll be two new countries ticked off... going with my mate who is fast approaching 70 countries. I'm miles behind on about 35 or something

Are you going to these countries because you want to see the cultures, landmarks, scenery etc, or are you going there because it adds another +1 to the amount of countries you've been to?

Little from column A and a little from column B.

I don't need to spent 6 months in Luxembourg to get a feel for the place do I? However, places I do like I go back to (Germany 3 times so far, Thailand 5 times etc) and see more of the place.

This ...

I like the + 1 but there has to be a good reason for going

I've got a few countries I kinda need to go to but there is nothing there that really attracts me into going

Now I'm working full time, I want to visit 2 countries per year. But not because of totals, but because I like to visit new countries and meet new people.

Make it 5 mate! You're young, single (I'm guessing) and in your prime. See of much as the World as you can

You must be running out of countries to go to now tony H. Whats next on your list for the next year or so?? If I get to 50 countries by aged 50 id be happy with that.

I should hit 100 counties next year so trying to find something a bit different ... One option I was considering was a place in Africa where 4 counties meet at one point ( Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia ) but novelty value apart it's a bit of a cheat , I don't count a country unless I've had a beer there or spent proper time in it , none of this counting airports on transfer flights lark :)

Tbh I was quite impressed with Azerbaijan so the other thought for 2015 is to do Turkmenistan , Uzbekistan , Kazakhstan etc ... Spending a night at the gas crater in Turkmenistan looks something a bit different for example

Money and only 25 days holiday would make that difficult.

A friend of mine has just got back from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, he couldn't recommend them enough.

Did he go on his own or escorted around with a guide ... I think its Turkmenistan that is a bit of a dictatorship and rumoured to be a bit corrupt and tricky for tourists ??

With a guide. He also said Kyrgyzstan had some of the most beautiful scenery he has ever seen, and he has been to a lot of nice countries!

So, I'm going to take the gf to Florence next year, and I am fairly certain I am going to propose. Both going to be 26 by the time we go and just bought a new house - thinking it's time!

I'm a little stuck though, how the fudge do I get from Pisa Airport to Florence?? I would ideally like to avoid the train cuz I'm certain we will end up in Rome or something... Also, any recommendations on places to go whilst there??

25 days is decent and you earn a reasonable amount.

Few long weekends away in Europe is what you need.
