He just had a great run of games, as he did the previous season under McLeish, and quickly returned to being rubbish,
So what do we have, a good player with many and long bad spells, or a poor player with a good run of games every now and then?
Yep, Bacuna does get it wrong often, but when he does get it right he certainly delivers something, whereas Weimann delivers nothing.
If he is played up front or on the wing his mistakes won't have as big an impact that they would in the centre of the pitch.
Neither, I think that Sanchez has a lot more to offer once he adapts to English football (I might be mistaken), I think Westwood is a decent player, but doesn't offer all that much.
This, very much. He makes clever runs into the box, his finishing is good and he can also whip a cross in from a wide position. His set pieces are also very good.
Thing is, Richardson is very suspect at the back. Cissokho is rubbish going forward, but he hardly costs you any goals.
If we can have an attacking line up capable of creating chances I'm glad with Cissokho.
Guzan hasn't lived up to the expectations he set 2 seasons ago, but I still think he is a brilliant keeper (certainly for the level we're at) despite a few mistakes. He is a commanding presence in the box and helps the entire back 4 perform better. Given doesn't do that. Great back up, though.
No, cuz of long diagonal balls beyond our back line always caught him out.
1 vs 1, I'd back him, but he hasn't got the awareness for the job full time.
Or maybe he just had to learn to defend, given that he had never played in that position.
I haven't seen the Arsenal game and therefore I haven't witnessed Sanchez's poorness, but on what I have seen so far I'd have Sanchez ahead of Westwood any day of the week.
Thing is, he wasn't even given a chance to express himself this season under Lambert. Only 2 starts, one of them in the cup, the other due to half of our midfield being injured.
Some things I will never understand.
