  1. People keep saying it's the same players, so why have they suddenley become shit ? Well, PERHAPS it's because those same players haven't been trying ? They wouldn't be the first players to decide to give less than they should because they don't like the manager. See Ramos at Spurs and their sudden transformation once they'd got him the sack From what I can see/hear. Some players just haven't taken to the new hard work / discipline regime that's been bought in. In which case they're a **** joke and should be shown the door That is unless they've finally realised they're paid to do a JOB and they don't make the decisions around the football club. They're paid to obey them
  2. Sadly you're right. Our fickle floating supporters are a disgrace
  3. I was (in my early teens) on Saturday Superstore as part of the worst football team in Britain. Even sadder I couldnt get in the side on a regualr basis As the competition 'winners', we spent a day at Old Trafford with Bobby Charlton and Frank Stapleton and then played a game against the Man Utd kids at their red gra (is that how its spelt?) training ground all of which was filmed for the show. Weeks later on the actual show, we got given a surprise gift of a week at Bobby's soccer school. Being a alazy **** I didnt go as I knew it would be too much like hard work for me. I also turned down the free trip back to Old Trafford to watch Man Utd play someone as Villa were at home the same weekend But I did get to meet Paul Young (who my sister loved at the time, so I sold her his autograph for 50p ), Strawberry Switchblade and Bryan Adams. The latter despite releasing some truly horrendous music on the world was an absolute gent and spent about half hour talking nonsense with me and a few mates about rock music. Top fella I also got to meet David Icke who was on the show at the time before losing his **** marbles.
  4. In what possible way would we be "doing well" selling one of our better players ? Crazy talk.
  5. He played alright the other night. Looked eager and never stopped trying to get the ball. Always a very good sign! That said, on one or two occassions his simple ball to a team mate was over hit which led to us losing possession
  6. The 'Best Worst Movie' documentary then 'Troll 2'
  7. I'm glad someone else thought that given his recent promotion to central defensive God whilst out of the side.
  8. I couldn't say that was 'awful/terrible'. For me it was just totally soft. We played the same pointless soft tippy tappy stuff we've been playing since Gerard came in (and lets be HONEST, its the pass pass football people were clamouring for under O'Neill) and the simple fact is. It doesn't suit the players we have. Its all very well being pretty, and passing it about on the deck. But it's utterly **** pointless if the end product isn't there. And on the other hand, there's little point lumping it into the box when they have 5/6 men behind the ball including Crouch. There is no imagination. Either abandon this nicey nice stuff until we have players that can play that way or we're going to suffer even more than we already are.
  9. Sadly yes. A horrible film it is too.
  10. You're not wrong. He's been as bad for Liverpool as Ireland has for us Seems to have the same lack of desire and work ethic too Apparently becaus ehe needs to feel loved and treated like a puppy Ar diddums

  12. Has he **** off yet ? Probably too **** lazy to start his car
  13. If the powers that be have no problem with the 'possibilty' not 'guarantee' that Ash will walk for free at the end of his contract why on earth would us supporters be bothered ? You know he'll give his all, and at the end of that contract we'll have had 5/6 of his best years for the 10m we paid out for him. Absolute bargain I wouldn't mind him walking free then at all. And if we have turned a corner by then and things are looking up, who's to say he'll want to leave anyway ?
  14. Not sure how anyone can lay blame with Wigan for having nearly 10"s of snow. There's only so much a football can do. Look on the bright side, do what i'm doing and go to the pub regardless
  15. How can you compare the resources of the two clubs not to mention their respective councils ?
  16. Good point, didnt see that mate. Sorry
  17. I wish they'd hurry up and make a decision so I can go back to bed. Somebody has put this up on Vital Wiagn ... "The Match Wigan Athletic v Aston Villa has been Postsponed ..." But how do we know if its true ? http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=558&fid=516&sty=2&act=1&mid=2119130036

  21. I'm half hoping I wake up to 2 foot of snow. But it's the ice that'll be the decider. Its already like glass around our way (Black Country)
