IF this signing of Bent is a smokescreen because we're having to sell some other first teamer to fund it (Young/Downing) I'll be less than impressed. It's been the Villa way over the years, one step forward, one (or two) steps backwards. How's about just ONE STEP FORWARD for a change ? That is unless Liverpool want to offer 20m for Downing or 30m for Young Then i'll live with it Bent is a pure striker, he does nothing else. So you don't bring him in and sell the ammo supply unless yer off yer head on meth -

Well, it's a LOT of money. But strikers who score goals cost a LOT of money. Lets get it done! I'm not bothered by the alleged 'add ons / extras' because as far as I can see, unless he really does the business we wont have to pay any extra. So it's a win, win. -

How would they address it ? You made a choice to support the club. You've started to turn your back on it because we aren't covering ourselves in glory. Not that we ever have been for any sustained period in the last 100 years or so. Surely you're the one that needs to address it as its your choice not the clubs. -
When the American remake was announced I feared the worst. But taken as it's own thing and viewed without predujice, its actually rather brilliant! Totally different type of comedy to our version, but equally enjoyable

To be honest mate IMO and from others i have spoken to that if he is still here next season we will be lucky to get over 10k season ticket holders!.. That'll show once and for all that those claiming we aren't a big club and that we have fickle fans were right all along. Though i'm pretty sure a lot of us have accepted that fact long since. -

I'll renew because I support Aston Villa FC. What league we ever find ourselves in wont change that. It hasn't in the past and it wont in the future. As someone said yesterday, it seems some people have forgotten what supporting your club means. -
