    How did it cost us the game. We never scored. Never really threatened. Didn't cost us anything. Teams have stinkers. If we didn't we be league champions.

    Forest was up for it and a bad matchup for us as well. So much speed up top and our backline struggled to cope. Just one of those days. Can't win them all.

    Yep. There are enough sh*t in the bottom half for us to get almost every win we need for a top 6 finish. Win a couple more in the top half and top 4 is ours. Not worried about results elsewhere. We are good enough, baring futher key injuries, to dictate our own future.

    Said it about a month ago in the Grealish thread. Once Doku started playing, I realized it wasn't Pep holding Jack back. Not sure what happened but he's an absolute shadow of his Villa self.

    Need Ten Hag to stick around a bit longer. Fulham brought that on themselves. Awful defending.

    Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. This season Diaby will have more G+A than Jack's best PL season. He will do that his first year in with Vila. Diaby will then, baring injury, go on to produce at that level or beyond for multiple seasons. No getting pissed on vacation, or hitting multiple stationary vehicles. Diaby will do all this while being compensated at a fraction of Jack's current wage packet. Jack was great, and we all loved him, but I honestly believe we have moved on and found something much better.

    I am desperate for a catchy nickname for our main attackers. Best attack in the PL has to have a nickname. Thems the rules.

    3+ more years at 300k a week. We aint paying that and he would be a fool to walk away from that deal. We have a better player in Diaby anyway so why are we talking about a ManC bench player.

    If given the opportunity I would play Man United tomorrow. We would still do them by at least 3+ goals. Probably even more because they would press us.

    Luton being scared to even press a tiny bit is eye opening. Luton gave us the Man City treatment. To be this feared is such a weird feeling as a Villa fan. Still plan on enjoying every minute of it though.

    European football being played at a slower pace also helps. PL should probably experiment with 2 refs, one for each half. Given the pace of play in the PL, asking a middle aged ref to keep up with some of the fittest world athletes is always going to be an issue.

    That extra weight could also be why his ACL went. Wonder what he looks like coming out of rehab.

    Everyone has to sell to balance the books. Man City sold Cole Palmer for £40 million. Chelsea have sold multiple youngsters. Arsenal sold Balogun for £30 million after he hit 21 goals in Ligue 1. Everyone sells their youngsters who aren't ready for the step up.

    If Spurs had a Pau Torres they would have scored by now. Neither of their starting CBs can pick a pass.

    It could be that being an important figure doesn't require being an everyday player. I'm not saying Ty's playing career is done but he has so many other skills besides his pure footballing talent. Tyrone is tailor made for eventually moving into a coaching role. I could even see him becoming a front office type. His charisma and speaking ability are top notch. Every club in England would love to have him representing their club business or pitch side.

    They will have to break the British transfer record. Which if that's how much they are willing to pay we will probably sell if the player wants. The good thing is that if Dougie wants to stay I don't think a number exists that would get our management team to even consider selling.

    Carved a couple of clear cut chances from nothing. If our goal is to compete on multiple fronts then you need 3-4 players of his quality for your most creative positions on the pitch.

    Who is more complete? The modern striker has to do more than score goals. He must press, cover the width of the pitch, hold up play, assist and score goals. Watkins does that better than any other PL striker.

    Not a flop but just kind of meh. For a British record transfer I feel like your return should be a bit more than that. Good thing City has an entire Oil state backing them. No club would presently pay City half what they paid for Jack's services. Shows how crazy good a deal Purslow was able to secure.

    With Haaland's disappearing act for the last 3 appearances, Watkins is probably the #1 performing CF in the PL.

    VARs purpose is to look for clear and obvious errors. It's purpose is not to get the call right. The call on the field will stand unless you have overwhelming evidence to the contrary. VAR is never going to overturn a single hand push. Same for the Neto penalty shout. VAR reviewed that to and let the call on the field stand. Don't think it was that egregious in the end.

    Grealish has 3+ years left at 300k per week. It's the Saudis or bust. No one else is paying that.
